Resilience Against All Odds

In what promises to be a thrilling showdown, Aaron Aby, the resilient Welshman with an indomitable spirit, is gearing up to face off against former Cage Warriors champion Sam Creasey at OKTAGON 56

In a turn of events, Aaron Aby finds himself on the brink of championship glory once again. Following a contentious loss against Elias Garcia in November, where Garcia, cousin of MMA legends Anthony and Sergio Pettis, emerged victorious.

However, Garcia's repeated refusal to defend the belt has led to him being stripped of the title. Now, Aby is primed to face Sam Creasey for the vacant championship title, marking a pivotal moment in his MMA career.

Scheduled to take place in Birmingham on April 20th, this eagerly anticipated event marks Aby's return to the OKTAGON stage, as he sets his sights on championship glory once again.

Aby’s Battles Outside of the Cage

The 33-year-old’s journey to this moment has been nothing short of remarkable. Overcoming immense obstacles, including a battle with cystic fibrosis and a triumphant victory against stage 3 testicular cancer in 2020, Aby has consistently defied the odds.

Now, with his sights set firmly on the OKTAGON MMA world title, Aby's determination and resilience continue to inspire fans and fellow athletes alike.

A New Challenger

The upcoming bout against Creasey holds significant weight for Aby. Despite a previous encounter where Creasey won the bout via decision, Aby remains undeterred, fuelled by a relentless pursuit of his dreams.

Creasey, touted as the number 1 ranked flyweight in the country and a former Cage Warriors World Champion, poses a formidable challenge for Aby. With both fighters poised to deliver an electrifying performance, fans can expect a clash of titans as they vie for victory inside the octagon.

Priority on the Belt

Speaking about his upcoming fight, Aby emphasised the importance of the championship belt, stating, "For me, that belt is my priority and my number one target. It was never about me versus Garcia, it was a dream you have when you start to become a world champion on the biggest show in Europe.”

Undeterred by setbacks, including Garcia's refusal to defend the title, Aby remains focused on his ultimate goal, showcasing a steely resolve that has garnered admiration from fans and peers alike.
