Giant Killers Collide
After stunning world number one Judd Trump in the quarterfinals, the 20-year-old Wu faced Singh Chadha, who pulled off his own shock by toppling four-time world champion Mark Selby in a dramatic late-night shootout.
However, Singh Chadha couldn’t carry that momentum into the semifinal.

The Mumbai potter found himself on the back foot from the get-go, dropping the first four frames before the mid-session interval. Wu wasn’t in blistering form himself, with his highest break being just 56, but Singh Chadha’s mistakes compounded his woes.
Fatigue from his gruelling late-night battle with Selby was evident as Wu remained composed and capitalised.

Despite some glimmers of hope in the next two frames, Singh Chadha’s errors allowed Wu to coast toward victory.
The Indian hopeful, clearly exhausted, couldn’t mount a comeback, while Wu kept his foot on the gas. A final break of 73 sealed the deal for the Chinese wonderkid, completing the emphatic whitewash.
Eyes on the Final Showdown
With a flawless 6-0 win under his belt, Wu now awaits the winner of the second semifinal between Neil Robertson and Chris Wakelin.
Tomorrow’s double-session final will be the biggest test yet for the rising star.
