Wolves forward Tolu Arokodare expects a tough game when his side travels to face Sunderland at the Stadium of Light this weekend in the Premier League.
Arokodare, in an exclusive interview with SportsBoom.com, emphasised the importance of the game, saying it is crucial and an opportunity to kick-start a season turnaround.
Vitor Pereira's side is yet to secure a single win, currently sitting at the bottom of the log with just 2 points.
ASSESSMENT OF THE MATCH AGAINST SUNDERLAND
Arokodare acknowledged that the upcoming game against Sunderland will be tough, but he's optimistic about his team's chances.
"We don't expect it to be an easy game," Arokodare said.
"Obviously, there are no easy games. We've had heartbreaking endings in our last two games, but we're determined to stop that trend and try to get a win."
He reiterated that Wolves will need to be at their best to secure a victory, but he's confident that his team can come out on top.
"We expect to come up with a win, but we don't expect it to be easy," he told SportsBoom.com.
TURNING THE SEASON AROUND
The 6ft 6in Nigeria International said a win this weekend against Régis Le Bris' side will reignite their season campaign back on track.
"We are aware of our situation, and we're working hard to turn things around," Arokodare said when asked about the team's strategy to bounce back from their poor run of games.
"We've had some tough games, but we're confident that we can get back on track from this weekend's game against Sunderland."
SCORING HIS FIRST PREMIERSHIP GOAL FOR WOLVES
When asked about scoring his first Premiership goal for Wolves, Tolu Arokodare replied, "I hope to achieve this feat against Sunderland, saying 'Hopefully this weekend'."
Although, he has already scored for Wolves in their Carabao Cup win over Everton, he remains eager to get his Premier League account off the mark since joining the Molineux club in September.
TARGET FOR THE SEASON
Arokodare, 24, says he is looking forward to scoring as many goals as he can to help his new team.
"I'm aiming to score as many goals as possible this season and contribute to the team's success. Our main objectives are to finish as high as we can in the league table, secure our Premier League status, and achieve our goals," he told SportsBoom.com.
TEAMMATES WHO HAVE HELPED HIM SETTLE DOWN
The former Genk forward praised all his teammates for their support and camaraderie.
"All my teammates have been helpful, but Marshall Munetsi and Toti Gomes have really gone out of their way to help me settle in. They're always supportive."
TRANSITION FROM THE JUPILER LEAGUE TO THE PREMIER LEAGUE
"The transition from the Belgium League to the English Premier League has been pretty good and exciting," Arokodare said.
"It's a huge change, but I'm enjoying the process and adapting to the new challenges."
THE INSPIRATION BEHIND JOINING WOLVES
The forward revealed that the club's talent-building project was a major factor in his decision to join the team. The Premier League club's commitment to developing young players resonated with Arokodare, who saw an opportunity to grow and succeed at the highest level.
"Playing in the Premier League has always been a dream for me," Arokodare stated.
"When the offer came in, it was something I couldn't say no to."
With interest from other top clubs, Arokodare chose Wolves for their promise to nurture and polish talents.
