Exclusive: Nottingham Forest's Ibrahim Sangare set for Saudi switch
Forest's Ibrahim Sangare is set for a move to Saudi Arabia after failing to secure a transfer to West Ham United. The Ivory Coast international, who has started all Premier League games this season, joined Forest for £30million in 2023. Al Ettifaq and Al Hazem are among clubs interested in signing Sangare, who has proven himself as a winner during his time at Toulouse and PSV Eindhoven.

Nottingham Forest’s Ibrahim Sangare is edging towards a move to Saudi Arabia, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
The Ivory Coast international, 27, penned a five-year deal at the Premier League club for £30million in 2023.
Sangare has started all three of the club’s top flight fixtures this season, but has been touted with a move away from the City Ground this summer.
And after the domestic window shut earlier this month, Sangare is now poised for a move to the Saudi Pro League — whose deadline is not until the September 23.
Forest, who saw new boss Ange Postecoglou replace sacked Nuno Espirito Santos earlier this week, are eager to recoup the fee they played for the defensive midfielder two years ago.
Sangare has been named in the club’s initial 22-man squad for the Europa League.
A proposed move to fellow Premier League outfit West Ham United, a loan with an obligation to buy, fell through.
And a Saudi switch to Al-Qadsiah, who were interested in a £30million move for the player, also failed to materialise.
But our souces have been told talks are underway with a number of other potential suitors in Saudi keen to secure his signature.
Al Ettifaq and Al Hazem are two of a number off clubs eager to sign Sangare.
Proven Winner
Sangare started his professional carer with Toulouse and was promoted into their first team in 2016.
Following the club’s relegation to Ligue 2, the player moved to PSV Eindhoven and went on to play in the Champions League.
During his time at the Dutch giants, Sangare won back-to-back KNVB Cups.
He attracted Premier League interest in 2023 and joined Forest. Sangare starred as Ivory Coast won the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in their home country.
During his time at Forest he has made 33 Premier League appearances, with 10 of those coming off the bench.
