Arsenal are ready to enter the race for highly-sought after Antoine Semenyo, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
The Ghana winger is on the verge of a huge move with a number of Premier League big guns chasing his signature.
Champions Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle United are all interested in securing the 25-year-old’s services.
And our sources have been told Mikel Arteta is set to make the Bournemouth star his number one target after his dazzling start to the season.
Arsenal are the early Premier League pacesetters and Arteta is eager to keep improving his squad.
The Gunners’ hierarchy spent in the region of £250million last season as they heavily backed Arteta in his quest to land a first league title.
And they are ready to splash the cash again with Semenyo the most chased player in the league after his stunning early season form.
Arteta sees the strong, pacy winger as an upgrade on Leonardo Trossard.
But it is expected that more than £75million will be needed for the Cherries to surrender their prized asset after being raided in the summer.
Semenyo signed a new long-term deal at the club at the end of last season and is contract at the Vitality Stadium until 2030.
Star in the Making
Bristol City are heavily invested in Semenyo’s future with a sell-on fee inserted into the deal when the wing wizard moved to the south coast for £10million in January 2023.
Semenyo earned himself a hefty pay rise after a breakout season last term, where he scored 14 goals as the Cherries finished ninth.
He is now the main man at the club after the big-money departures of Ilya Zabarnyi, Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez and Dango Ouattara in the summer.
Semenyo has bagged six goals and three assists in the first nine games of the new season as Bournemouth, whose only defeat coming away at Liverpool on the opening weekend, have flown into second place.
