Exclusive: Brentford Reject £13m Wolfsburg Bid for Kristoffer Ajer and Insist Defender Is Not for Sale
Brentford are standing firm on their decision not to sell Kristoffer Ajer to Wolfsburg, rejecting a £13m bid. The versatile defender is a key player for the Bees, contracted until 2028. Ajer, a former Celtic player, has impressed both domestically and internationally, making him a sought-after asset.

Brentford are not willing to sell Kristoffer Ajer this summer, SportsBoom can reveal.
Our sources have been told German outfit Wolfsburg have seen a bid in the region of £13million swiftly rejected by the Premier League club.
Wolfsburg are in the market for a centre-back following the early-season injury to Denis Vavro, but Brentford are firm on their stance that the Norwegian International is not for sale.
The Bundesliga club are planning to test the West London club’s resolve with an improved bid before deadline day.
It is understood that Brentford have received a number of enquiries for the versatile defender this year.
But the Bees have remained unmoved on their position on the player, who is contracted until 2028 with an option of a further year.
The former Celtic defender is a big part of Keith Andrews’ plans at the Gtech Community Stadium this season and beyond.
A towering centre-back, Ajer is also able to play at right-back and is cover in both positions for the Bees — who sold right-back Mads Roerslev to Championship Southampton earlier in the window.
Speaking about Ajer, Andrews said: “Kristoffer’s someone I definitely don’t want to lose. He really likes this club, he’s a big personality, character and part of our leadership group.”

Ajer started life in the UK when he signed a four-year deal with Celtic in 2016 for around £650,000.
He impressed on a loan spell fellow Scottish club Kilmarnock and became a mainstay Celtic Park upon his return.
Ajer penned a contract extension at the Scottish giants and signed a five-year deal at Brentford for around £13.5million in 2021 ahead of their return to the top tier of English football.
Part of the Bhoys’ famous Scottish treble-treble achievement, Ajer made his Noray debut and has gone on to be capped 43 times by his national side.
