Brentford are lining up Sean Dyche as a possible replacement for manager Thomas Frank, SportsBoom has learnt.

But former Leicester City and Nottingham Forest Steve Cooper and ex-Wolves and Bournemouth boss Gary O’Neill are also believed to be interested in the job if Frank does leave as expected.

Danish boss Frank is currently locked in talks with Tottenham Hotspur to become their new manager following the brutal sacking of Ange Postecoglou this week.

Aussie Postecoglou was sent packing despite guiding Spurs to the Europe League crown this season, the North London club’s first trophy for 17 years.

But even that success couldn’t prevent ‘Big Ange’ getting the boot, with Frank now the firm favourite to replace him.

And that means the Bees have been looking at their options for who will succeed Frank, their long-term manager, at the Gtech Community Stadium next season.

PREMIER LEAGUE EXPERIENCE

Former Everton and Burnley boss Dyche has bags of Premier League experience, having managed in the top-flight for over a decade.

And the three-time Premier League Manager of the Month winner is understood to be keen to get back into the managerial hotseat having been sacked by the Toffees in January this year after a poor run of form.

Frank joined the Bees as assistant manager from Brondby in December 2016, but was promoted to head coach in October 2018 following the departure of former head coach Dean Smith.

The 51-year-old has been in the position ever since and guided the club to a respectable tenth place finish in the top-flight last season.

Meanwhile, Welshman Cooper is ready to get back into management after being sacked by the Foxes in November last year despite having only signed a new three-year deal little over four months earlier.

And O’Neill is also looking for work and way back to the Premier League after being dismissed by Wolves in December 2024 after 18 months with the Midlands-based club.
