Crystal Palace are keen to agree a new contract with sought-after wing-back Tyrick Mitchell, amidst growing interest from Manchester United.
And SportsBoom can exclusively reveal that promoted Leeds United and Bournemouth have also expressed an interest in signing for the former England international if the price is right.
Left-back Mitchell is out of contract at the end of the month when his current four-year deal comes to an end after a long association with the south London club.
United have long been linked with the player, especially as boss Ruben Amorim looks to strengthen in that position with Luke Shaw’s well-documented injury problems.
Now it has emerged that Leeds manager Daniel Farke is a big admirer of the player and keen to sign a player of Mitchell’s calibre, with an upgraded defence key to staying in the top-flight next season.
Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola was eyeing up a move for Mitchell as a replacement for Milos Kerkez, who is expected to sign for Liverpool.
But Cherries opted to signed French left-back Adrien Truffert in the transfer window and have now ended their interest in Mitchell.
GOING ON A FREE?
AC Milan, Athletic Madrid and Barcelona have also been linked to the player, especially with the 25-year-old due to leave on a free transfer at the end of the month.
The Eagles are understood to have chatted to Mitchell about a new deal to stay at Selhurst Park for a seventh season.
Mitchell, who graduated through Brentford and Palace’s academy systems respectively, has been a mainstay of the side for a long time and played 45 games last season, as well as starring in the side which won the FA Cup.
Eagles boss Oliver Glasner is fond of Mitchell and would like to keep him, but it is believed he is open to finding a replacement at the back if a deal cannot be struck.
