Exclusive: Monaco’s Mohammed Salisu Poised for Crystal Palace Loan Pending Marc Guehi’s Liverpool Move
AS Monaco defender Mohammed Salisu's future remains uncertain with interest from Crystal Palace. However, a potential move hinges on Liverpool's interest in Marc Guehi. Other targets include Canvot, Akanji, Ndicka, and Diomande. Salisu, seeking more playing time, could secure a move away or fight for his place at Monaco.

Despite the transfer window approaching its final days, the future of Ghana defender Mohammed Salisu at AS Monaco remains uncertain.
The 25-year-old centre-back has been linked with several clubs, including Premier League side Crystal Palace.
Palace Interest Hinges on Guehi
SportsBoom understands that Palace have made enquiries about taking Salisu on loan.
However, the move depends on Liverpool’s interest in Marc Guehi, with the Ghanaian identified as a possible replacement if Guehi leaves Selhurst Park.
Sources suggest Salisu would love a switch to London, but any deal relies on Monaco’s stance, Guehi’s decision, and Palace’s evaluation of other targets.
A loan deal is underway and will be activated as soon as Guehi's transfer to Anfield is confirmed.
Alternatives Considered
The Eagles are also monitoring Toulouse defender Jaydee Canvot, Manchester City’s Manuel Akanji, Roma’s Evan Ndicka and Sporting Lisbon’s Ousmane Diomande.
Interest From Abroad
Greek side Olympiacos and an unnamed German club are also believed to be tracking Salisu who needs more playing time.
Salisu, who joined Monaco from Southampton in summer 2023, has struggled for regular minutes.
He is currently behind Eric Dier and Christian Mawissa in the defensive pecking order and was an unused substitute in Monaco’s win over Strasbourg on Sunday.
The Black Stars international has made 37 appearances since his arrival in Ligue 1. With interest from England, Greece and Germany, and Monaco still weighing their options, several possibilities remain.
