Eintracht Frankfurt are braced for a bidding war from Premier League clubs for Jean-Mattéo Bahoya, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.

The winger, 20, is the fastest player in the Bundesliga and has bags of potential.

In the summer, the club turned down a huge bid, somewhere between €60-€70million from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad.

The promising prospect is an exciting talent and a number of Premier League clubs want to bring him to England.

But our sources have been told Bundesliga outfit Frankfurt will hold out for every possible penny to let go of their prized asset, who they are trying to tie down to an improved deal.

Liverpool and Arsenal are both eager to sign the French speedster and Frankfurt are resigned to the fact they are unable to compete at the negotiating table when Europe's biggest clubs come calling.

Anfield authorities are hopeful the player’s relationship with Hugo Ekitike, who they signed from Frankfurt for a fee which could rise to as much as £82.4million, puts them to the front of the queue.

Arne Slot is known to want to strengthen the left-side of his attack with the club chasing Anthony Gordon and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in recent years and also trying to lure Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo to the club in the summer.

Arsenal have also sent scouts to watch the winger, who has been closed at a phenomenal 37.16km/ph, in action.

But they face competition from the player’s homeland with PSG huge admirers of the starlet.

Staying in Europe

When asked about the Saudi Arabia approach, Bahoya said: “I honestly didn’t hesitate for a moment. It was a logical decision. I want to have a great season here and compete in the Champions League. We’ll see what happens after this season.”

“If I can, I’d like to score 20 goals this season. Hopefully, this is just the beginning. I have the freedom to show my football, and I’m playing with confidence now.”
