Manchester City and Liverpool are set to battle it out for Eduardo Camavinga's signature this summer, SportsBoom can reveal.

It is understood Real Madrid are open to offers for the 23-year-old star.

And sources in Spain have told SportsBoom that the Premier League is the most likely destination for the French international.

It is well known City boss Pep Guardiola is in the market for midfield reinforcements with Bernardo Silva expected to leave the club upon the expiration of his deal at the club in the summer.

And the former Barcelona boss is desperate to leave the club on a high, with whispers around the footballing world that he is set for another sabbatical when his City contract ends at the end of next season.

Guardiola is expected to be backed in the summer as the club try to reestablish themselves as one of the biggest forces in European football after a couple of quiet seasons by their recent trophy-laden standards.

But Liverpool manager Arne Slot is also set to spend big this summer as the Merseyside side look to bolster their squad once again.

Camavinga is seen as a top class option who would fit into any midfield in world football and with the best years of his career ahead of him is considered a brilliant upgrade by both clubs.

Winning Mentality

Camavinga is contracted at the Bernabéu until 2029, but with Madrid willing to listen to offers it looks almost certain he will leave Los Blancos

The versatile midfielder joined the Rennes’ ranks at the age of 11 and played 88 times for the Lique 1 club before making the move to Madrid for an undisclosed fee.

Since being with Real, Camavinga has enjoyed two double La Liga and Champions League winning campaigns in 2021-22 and 2023-24.

He was also part of the French side which finished runners-up to Argentina in the 2022 World Cup.
