Several European clubs are reportedly mulling over making advances for Vitória Guimarães striker, Alioune Ndoye, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
Having only joined the Primeira Liga club last August, Ndoye has quickly hit the ground running with a string of fine performances which have captured the attentions of several clubs across Europe lately.
Last week, scouts from Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona, Premier League side Manchester United, Championship club Leicester City, Bundesliga teams Dortmund and Wolfsburg, and French Ligue 1 outfit Marseille were reportedly in Leiria to watch the Portuguese League Cup clash between Vitória and Sporting, giving them a close-up look at the striker in action.
Marseille are in the market for offensive reinforcements, particularly if their star forward Mason Greenwood continues to flirt with the idea of a Premier League return.
Sources have informed SportsBoom that the Senegalese could be the subject of attraction, and he further strengthened his reputation after coming off the bench to score a brace and secure victory for his side in that game.
EMPHASIS MADE ON GRADUAL DEVELOPMENT
Speaking exclusively to SportsBoom, former Switzerland international who is also the intermediary to the striker insisted the attentions Ndoye courts are no surprises, but is mindful not to allow such advances unsettle the player who only arrived Portugal last year.
Essentially, he informed there is very little chance of a winter switch as the player continue to establish his himself in a new league with his inspirational performances.
"Yes, it is true a lot of these clubs were there to watch, but it is also that it was an important game for the contesting teams," Fernandez told SportsBoom.com.
"And yes, he [Ndoye] was great all through the last games but we will see what’s going on at the end of the season. For now, it is important he builds himself from here."
Four days after orchestrating a come-from-behind victory in the League Cup semifinal for his side, Ndoye was at it again in the final, scoring a late winner to hand Vitória the Taça da Liga title, their first piece of silverware in over 12 years.

Since he broke loose from the shackles of long hours huddled up in a hot classroom learning Mandarin Chinese and Pinyin at the famous Confucius Institute, UNIZIK, Emmanuel Chinaza has embraced sports and football in particular, and it helped that he grew up in the football-crazy city of Anambra.
