MLS clubs are trying to lure Robert Lewandowski to America, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
The Polish legend’s contract at Barcelona expires at the end of the season.
With Harry Kane being linked with a move to Barca, Lewandowski’s tenure at the La Liga giants is seemingly over.
Our sources have been told there are a number of offers for the iconic striker’s signature from around the world.
And it is understood David Beckham is eager to unite the world class centre forward with superstar Lionel Messi at Inter Miami.
Beckham’s outfit boasts a star-studded line-up with the likes of Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba already at the club.
It is believed linking up with Messi would turn the head of the Polish star.
LA Galaxy, who famously signed Beckham in 2007, are also interested in the 37-year-old as are NY Red Bulls.
There is also interest in Lewandowski from clubs in the Saudi Arabia Pro League.
It is understood bosses in the Middle East region believe the wages they can offer put them at the front of the queue for the experienced forward.
A mystery club in the Premier League have reportedly offered Lewandowski a one-year contract, but the player is understood to be after a multi-year deal as he plots the end of his career.
Prolific Champion
Poland’s all-time record goalscorer, with 87 strikes in 162 games, Lewandowski is renowned as one of the greatest strikers ever.
One of only five players to score over 100 goals with three different clubs, he trails only Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of Champions League goals.
Following his exploits in his homeland, Lewandowksi moved to Borussia Dortmund in 2010 and earned himself a mega move to Bayern Munich after firing Dortmund to back-to-back Bundesliga titles.
A ten-time Bundesliga champion after eight straight titles with Bayern, Lewandowski switched to Barca in 2022 and fired them to successive La Liga gongs during his first two seasons at the club.
