As one of the most sensational transfers in Turkish football history, Victor Osimhen has become far more than just a fan favourite at Galatasaray.

His elite performance and leadership on the pitch have reignited the European transfer market.

Having secured his permanent move from Napoli for €75 million in the summer of 2025, the 27-year-old star is now at the centre of a potential record-breaking exit in the summer of 2026.

Galatasaray’s Defensive Stance

The Galatasaray board has made its position clear from day one: "Osimhen is the heart and soul of this team."

The club's hierarchy repeatedly states that selling their Nigerian superstar is not part of the plan. However, the need for financial sustainability, combined with the player's lifelong dream of the Premier League, could breach this defensive line.

If Galatasaray decides to cash in, the rumoured asking price sits between €120 million and €140 million; a figure that would shatter every record in the Süper Lig.

FC Bayern, Arsenal, and United

Osimhen’s name is once again echoing in the offices of Bundesliga and Premier League giants.

FC Bayern remains a frontrunner, looking to end their search for a world-class "number 9" in the post-Kane era. The Germans are reportedly preparing a hybrid offer of €100 million plus a player exchange to tempt the Istanbul side.

Meanwhile, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta reportedly views Osimhen as the "final piece of the puzzle" for his frontline.

At Manchester United, the pressure from club legends like Rio Ferdinand is pushing the board toward a more aggressive pursuit. The club have attempted to sway the Nigerian international to Old Trafford on several occasions. Chelsea have also been linked with a move

While Juventus has also been mentioned, a secret "anti-Italy" clause in his contract, requiring Galatasaray to pay Napoli a €70 million penalty if sold back to Serie A before 2027, makes a move to England far more likely.

Contract Secrets and the "Anti-Italy" Clause

Osimhen is under contract until June 30, 2029, giving Galatasaray massive leverage. His wages, reaching €15-18 million with bonuses, reflect his superstar status.

The most critical detail is the aforementioned penalty clause, which effectively acts as a "tactical foul" against Italian suitors, giving Premier League clubs a massive clear-cut advantage in negotiations.

Financial Chess

For Galatasaray, selling Osimhen would provide a massive "war chest" to fund a new squad overhaul with multiple young stars.

However, from a sporting perspective, losing such a clinical finisher before a Champions League campaign is a high-stakes gamble.

Scenario A: A €130 million move to the Premier League, allowing Galatasaray to reinvest in 3-4 key positions.

Scenario B: Osimhen stays for another season, fueled by his love for Istanbul, as the club targets a European trophy.
