Leeds United, Sunderland and Burnley are all interested in signing Norwich City star Borja Sainz, SportsBoom understands.

Wing-wizard Sainz is already believed to have attracted interest from Italy, Spain and Greece.

But SportsBoom understand’s the 24-year-old’s desire is to play in the Premier League – and both the Whites and Black Cats would provide that opportunity.

Sainz starred for the Canaries last season despite a frustrating 13th place finish in the Championship.

He finished third in the Championship top scorers’ standings with 18 league goal and four assists, only behind Burnley’s Josh Brownhill (18g and 6a) and Leeds’ Joe Piroe (19g and 7a).

And with his contract expiring next summer, the club are open to offers for the player.

Interest in Sainz has grown throughout the season with a string of clubs having sent scouts to watch the left-sided player star in the second tier.

PREMIER LEAGUE CHANCE

And now it looks like the former Spain Under-19 international could get his chance to play in the top-flight next season.

He joined Norwich in June 2023 on a three-year deal from Turkish club Giresunspor and quickly adapted to life in England.

Eight goals came in his first season in the Championship and last season he kicked on style, more than doubling that tally and attracting a host of new suitors.

And with Norwich having struggled to once again navigate their way back to the Premier League, Sainz is ready to look at his options with one of the promoted clubs who are looking to make their own mark next term.

Leeds and Sunderland are both looking to strengthen their squads ahead of what promises to be a stern test to cement their top-flight status.
