Paris St Germain are ready to offer youngster Ibrahim Mbaye a new deal to ward off Premier League interest, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.

Our sources have been told the talented 18-year-old is on the wish list of Arsenal and Aston Villa this summer.

It is understood that the Gunners have scouted the starlet on multiple occasions this season ahead of a potential swoop.

Due to Profitability and Sustainability Regulations, Villa have turned their attention to a somewhat unproven talent based on his potential ceiling to avoid paying a hefty fee.

Mbaye is contracted in the French capital until 2028 and it is understood bosses want to tie him down to a four-year contract extension.

It is also understood the player would like a sell-on clause inserted in the deal if he commits his future to the club.

A number of Premier League clubs have been scouting young talents in France this season in a bid to get ahead of the curve and find the next diamond in the rough.

The hope is they can unearth the next Thierry Henry, or Kylian Mbappé before their market value sky rockets.

Désiré Doué, aged 20 and also at PSG, looks to be the next big thing.

Man City have also been linked with a move for PSG attacker Bradley Barcola, meaning the French club will be keen to ensure they don’t lose both rising talents in the same transfer window.

Next Big Thing?

Mbaye has impressed for the Ligue 1 giants despite his limited game time this season. He has made 25 appearances this term, mainlly featuring off the bench for Luis Enrique's side.

Capped by France until U20 level, but he made his Senegal debut in November and went to the African Cup of Nations with the side earlier this year.

Speaking about the player, PSG boss Enrique said: “He’s a quality player, and we're very happy to have players of his calibre.”

“He's still very young, and we have a lot of confidence in his future.”
