Exclusive: Tottenham Turn to Mikkel Damsgaard as Arsenal Snatch Eberechi Eze
Tottenham Hotspur are looking to revive their interest in Mikkel Damsgaard after missing out on Eberechi Eze to Arsenal. Despite Brentford's reluctance to sell the playmaker, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is reportedly ready to test their resolve. Thomas Frank is keen on reuniting with the Denmark international, who was a standout player for Brentford last season.

Thomas Frank is ready to revive his interest in Mikkel Damsgaard, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
Tottenham were left embarrassed earlier this week after arch rivals Arsenal snatched Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze from under their noses.
Daniel Levy and Steve Parish had agreed a deal in the region of £60million for the Palace star.
But the Gunners swiftly hijacked the move after Kai Havertz went down with a knee injury.
Eze was released by Arsenal as a youngster and had previously spoken of his “dream” of one day representing the club.
And with Eze seemingly on the move to the Emirates, Frank has turned his attention back to Denmark international Damsgaard.
Spurs are desperate for a playmaker after James Maddison’s unfortunate ACL injury he sustained during pre-season ruling him out for the majority of the campaign.
Not For Sale
Damsgaard, Brentford’s Player of the Season last term, was high up on Frank’s shortlist for a replacement playmaker once the extent of Maddison’s injury was revealed.
The 25-year-old, who extended his stay at the club to 2030 last term, came to Premier League prominence under the watchful eye of Frank at Brentford.
Dane Frank is a huge admirer of the player, who he brought to West London from Sampdoria in 2022.
And our sources have been told that Frank is now keener than ever on a reunion with the player after Eze was snatched from his grasp by Mikel Arteta.
But it is understood the Bees’ bigwigs are unwilling to sell Damsgaard this summer, even to Frank’s Tottenham.
Our sources indicate the club are not willing to part company with another key member of their squad after selling Bryan Mbeumo to Manchester United and with Yoane Wissa’s future up in the air amid serious interest from Newcastle United.
Spurs' chairman Levy has promised to back Frank during the current window and could yet test Brentford's resolve.
