As the transfer season begins in European football, Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare, on the radar of clubs like Manchester United, could be a game-changer for the struggling team. With his goal-scoring prowess and desire to play in the Premier League, signing him for €20m seems like a good move for the Red Devils.

The transfer season has begun across European football leagues, with clubs actively expressing interest in signing new players or retaining existing ones.
This mutual interest also applies to footballers, who are stakeholders in these negotiations, as they weigh their options to join a new club or extend their stay with their current employers.
Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare is among the players involved in transfer discussions, having had an illustrious season with Belgian side Genk.
His impressive performance has made him a priority target for clubs seeking a striker. Arokodare's physique and goal-scoring ability, which earned him the Belgian top scorer title with 21 goals in the 2024-2025 season, have attracted interest from clubs such as Manchester United in the EPL and Besiktas in the Turkish Super Lig, according to sources close to SportsBoom.
In an exclusive interview with SportsBoom, Arokodare clarified his interest in a move to England, specifically Old Trafford.
"Obviously, it's a dream to play in the Premier League, but I have my eyes on it for sure. Whatever options I have, I'll take my time and make the best decision," he told SportsBoom.com.
The 24-year-old striker added that Manchester United looks perfect for him, as he's been a fan of the club for some time.
"I'm a Manchester United fan, and if it happens, it would mean a lot to me and my family," Arokodare added.
What does this mean for Manchester United?
Signing Arokodare could be a game-changer for Manchester United, potentially rescuing the club from its current goal-scoring struggles.
Last season, United scored only 44 goals in the league, with Rasmus Hojlund, Joshua Zirkzee, and Alejandro Garnacho managing a combined 13 goals. In contrast, Arokodare scored 21 goals, eight more than the trio.
With Arokodare reportedly priced at €20m, this seems like a good deal for Manchester United, especially considering that players like Vitor Gyokeres cost more.
Meanwhile, Arokodare's expressed desire to play for United could also work in their favour. "Of course, it would be a dream come true," he said when asked about playing for United in the EPL.
