Exclusive: Dundee and Hibernian Lock Horns in Race for Falkirk’s Brad Spencer
Dundee and Hibernian are interested in Falkirk midfielder Brad Spencer, who had a standout season. The two clubs are considering a £1million move for the 29-year-old, with Hearts also in the mix. Spencer's contract with Falkirk runs until 2023, and he has been a key player for the team in recent seasons. He was named PFA Scotland Championship Player of the Year last season and scored 8 goals.

Dundee and Hibernian are both ready to take a punt on sought-after Falkirk midfielder Brad Spencer, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
Spencer dazzled last season for the Bairns as they toasted a memorable promotion back to the Scottish Premiership.
And the 29-year-old’s starring performances in helping the club be crowned champions of the Championship haven’t gone unnoticed.
Hearts have already expressed an interest in signing the former Kilmarnock and Dumbarton man, who scooped the PFA Scotland Championship Player of the Year award last season.
But our sources have learnt the Dark Blues and the Hibees have both been keeping tabs on Spencer with a view to a potential move worth £1 million this summer.
Spencer has one year left on his current deal having joined the club in July 2023.
That deal was extended in December 2024 as the Falkirk moved quickly to secure Spencer’s services for longer given his value to the team.
He impressed in the team which won the Scottish League One title two seasons and ago and who have now followed that up to secure a memorable second promotion in as many seasons.
KEY PERFORMER
Understandably, Falkrik boss John McGlynn is keen to keep Spencer having been such a key player for him last season.
The midfielder played 44 times last season for the Bairns has worked hard to cement his place as a regular starter over the past two seasons.
Spencer was given the responsibility of being the club’s skipper last season with first-choice captain Coll Donaldson injured.
And both Dundee and Hibernian are looking for leaders as they look to strengthen ahead of next season in the Scottish top-flight.
Spencer is a prover winner throughout his career having previously won the Scottish League One and Scottish Challenge Cup crowns in 2019-20 and 2021-22 with Raith Rovers, before his success with Falkirk.
He scored eight goals last season, the most he has scored in his career, with the Premiership now the biggest challenge of his blossoming career.
