Record-Breaking Centuries Run

Ali Carter achieved a tournament milestone by crafting three consecutive centuries en route to securing a coveted spot in the 2024 Masters final. The accomplished snooker player showcased his prowess with breaks of 100, 101, and 105, delivering a stellar performance that propelled him to victory against a formidable opponent, Mark Allen. The high-quality encounter saw both players producing century breaks, with Allen also contributing to the thrilling match.

Now, Ali Carter is set to face the seven-time Masters Champion, Ronnie O'Sullivan, in the final showdown. Carter, who previously reached the Masters final in 2020, is determined to clinch his first Masters title. As he prepares to take on the challenge presented by the snooker legend, Carter's impressive display of three successive centuries adds an extra layer of anticipation to the highly anticipated final match against O'Sullivan.

A Masterful Performance

After the match, Carter expressed his satisfaction with his performance, acknowledging the challenges presented by Mark Allen. He remarked, "Got it going in the middle of the match. Played some really good stuff there. Mark made it tough and showed what a great competitor he is. Delighted to get through to another triple Crown final."

Carter Sets Sights on O’Sullivan

When asked about facing Ronnie O'Sullivan in the final, Carter exuded confidence. "Oh, every confidence. I've just got to worry about my game and I'm in for the challenge. What better than to play the greatest player of all time on the biggest stage on the snooker circuit? Doesn't get any better than it."

Reflecting on past finals against O'Sullivan, where Carter fell short, he shared a valuable lesson learned. "Not to be in awe. That's the main thing tomorrow, to focus on me and enjoy it. Enjoy the occasion. I probably didn't enjoy the two world finals as much as what I probably should have done. Looking back now, I'd love to rewind the clock and just be there and enjoy it. So yeah, that's what I'm determined to do tomorrow."

Carter dismissed any talk of potential needle in the match against O'Sullivan, stating, "I'm not interested in needle. I'm just going to go around and play the snooker match."

Quest for Glory Continues

As the prospect of lifting the Masters trophy looms, Carter shared his feelings on the possibility. "Yeah, it would be quite surreal actually. I can't quite believe I'm in the final. It's just like it's not really happening. So maybe I'm having an out-of-body experience. But having been in one final, you're not going to be sort of wide-eyed. It's like, I've already been here, I've got to take the next step. I've been visualising lots of things and keeping myself in the right place, and I think I've showed that this week."

With his focus set and determination evident, Ali Carter is now prepared for the ultimate challenge – a face-off against Ronnie O'Sullivan in the Masters final. The snooker world eagerly awaits what promises to be a thrilling showdown between two titans of the game.
