Babar scored 62 off 54 balls and was the first batter to be dismissed. Kings lost the match by 5 wickets despite putting 196/3 on the board which proved insufficient.

Saim Ayub – Babar Azam (162 Runs)

Playing for Peshawar Zalmi, Babar Azam was involved in another 150-plus run partnership in the PSL. Batting first against Quetta Gladiators, Babar teamed up with Saim Ayub to add 162 the second-highest opening partnership in PSL in just 13.3 overs. Leading the side in Misbah ul Haq’s absence, Watson won the toss and elected to bowl first restricting Lahore Qalandars to 166/6. Opening the innings in the chase, the duo were quick to get 50 runs in 29 balls and took Islamabad into three figures by the 11th over. Watson was the first to get to his fifty in 37 balls, Sharjeel was even quicker getting there in 26 balls. Both batters scored 79 with Sharjeel remaining unbeaten taking the side to an 8-wicket win.

Sharjeel Khan – Babar Azam (151* Runs)

Another extravagant opening stand involving the dynamic duo of Sharjeel and Babar for Karachi Kings. Winning the toss, Karachi put Lahore Qalandars to bat and restricted the total to 150/5. The pair added 50 in 27 balls finishing the powerplay on a high with 66 runs on the board. Both Shan and Rizwan got to their half centuries off 28 balls taking Sultans past 100 in 52 balls and 150 inside the 15th over before Masood was cleaned up by Rashid Khan on his personal score of 83 in 50 balls. Rizwan was bowled by Shaheen Shah Afridi for 69 in 42 balls, but Sultans created history achieving the highest run chase in PSL that time.

Colin Munro – Usman Khawaja (137 Runs*)

Opening the innings for Islamabad United who won the toss and bowled first, Munro and Khawaja were unmoved at the crease chasing a modest total of 134 in Abu Dhabi playing against Quetta Gladiators. The 1st innings saw Quetta score just 36 runs in the powerplay and here thanks to a fiery start from the opening pair, the powerplay yielded 97 runs. Munro got to his 50 in 20 balls and remained unbeaten scoring 90 off 36 with 12 fours and 5 sixes. Khawaja faced 27 balls for his 40 and hit a solitary six alongside 6 boundaries.
