Arsenal are prepared to listen to offers for Christian Nørgaard this summer as Mikel Arteta looks to reshape his squad ahead of another assault on domestic and European glory, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
The Danish midfielder is understood to be surplus to requirements at the Emirates after playing just seven Premier League matches during Arsenal's title-winning campaign.
While Norgaard remained a popular figure within the dressing room, his opportunities were limited as the Gunners stormed to the Premier League crown and finally ended years of frustration for their long-suffering supporters.
Arsenal are determined to build on their success and are ready to back Arteta heavily in the transfer market as they target an even bigger prize next season.
Having reclaimed the Premier League title, the North London club are now focused on going one step further and lifting the Champions League trophy.
To help fund fresh arrivals, Arsenal are willing to sanction departures for players who are no longer central to Arteta's plans, and Norgaard is one of the names expected to attract significant interest.
ADMIRERS
The 32-year-old is believed to have no shortage of admirers, with Bournemouth and Crystal Palace both understood to be monitoring his situation closely.
The experienced midfielder remains highly regarded across the Premier League thanks to his leadership qualities, tactical intelligence and wealth of top-flight experience.
Norgaard joined Arsenal from Brentford in July 2025 on a two-year deal worth a reported £10 million.
The move was seen as a shrewd piece of business by the Gunners, bringing in a proven Premier League performer capable of adding depth and experience to the squad.
Before his switch to North London, Norgaard established himself as one of Brentford's most influential players.
He made 120 Premier League appearances for the Bees and played a key role in their rise and consolidation in the top flight.
His consistency, composure and ability to break up opposition attacks earned him widespread praise during his time in West London.
Arsenal are also reportedly looking to cash in on Gabriel Jesus in order to raise additional funds and strengthen squad depth with higher-quality reinforcements across key areas.
REPUTATION
Despite his limited game time at Arsenal, Norgaard's reputation remains intact, and he is expected to receive a deluge of offers once the transfer window gathers pace.
Sources suggest Arsenal would be willing to do business if the price is right, with the club keen to free up space in the squad for new additions.
The midfielder, who has been capped 41 times by Denmark, is understood to favour remaining in the Premier League should he leave the Emirates.
However, a sentimental return to former club Brondby has also been mooted in recent months.
A Danish Cup winner, Championship winner and now a Premier League champion with Arsenal, Norgaard has enjoyed a distinguished career.
But with Arteta planning another major squad overhaul, it appears his time in North London could be coming to an end after just a single season.
Editor's Insight
Nørgaard looks more likely to end up at Crystal Palace than Bournemouth, with his profile suiting Glasner’s system. If there were a market, Palace would be the narrow favourites, while a return to Denmark is a distant outsider.
