Borussia Dortmund are set to reignite their long-term pursuit of Brentford’s Kevin Schade this summer, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.

The Bundesliga club have been monitoring the German winger for quite a while and are desperate to sign him when the window reopens.

It is understood there has been contact between the two clubs regarding a deal.

As exclusively reported by SportsBoom earlier this season, the Bees are braced for bids for the 24-year-old wing wizard.

Bayern Munich’s interest is understood to have cooled, leaving Dortmund at Schade’s most likely destination if he does leave this summer.

It is understood Brentford would demand a fee of at least £50million for them to part company with the pacy wide man.

Sources in Germany have told SportsBoom that Dortmund would need to sell in order to raise the funds to stump up £50million for Schade’s services.

Brentford have long been admirers of Dortmund’s Maximilian Beier in recent windows and have seen multiple bids rejected by the German club, the highest in the region of £45million.

However, it is understood talks over a potential swap helping towards a deal have not taken place.

Brentford are understood to have already looked at Paris St Germain’s Lee Kang-In as they ready a list of replacements if they sanction Schade’s exit.

Schade moved to the GTech Community Stadium for £22million, a club record fee at the time, from SC Freiburg in 2023.

Since penning a five-year deal, Schade 20 Premier League goals in 94 appearances for the Bees.

If Schade is sold this summer, he would be the latest in a number of hugely profitable windfalls for the club in recent years with the likes of Neal Maupay, Said Benrahma, Ollie Watkins, David Raya, Ivan Toney, Yoann Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo all fetching the club sizeable sums.
