This weekend, Prague’s iconic Eden Stadium will host OKTAGON 58, an epic event set to captivate MMA fans. Featuring high-stakes quarter-final bouts of the €1 million Tipsport 'Gamechanger' lightweight tournament and a headline rematch between Attila Vegh and Karlos Vemola, the event promises thrilling action and intense competition.

Europe’s Most Lucrative MMA Prize Pot

OKTAGON MMA is offering fighters in their lightweight division the chance at Europe’s most lucrative prize pot in MMA. The promotion is now into the quarterfinals of its €1 million (£852,000) Tipsport 'Gamechanger' lightweight tournament, which began with 16 fighters. The winner will take home a massive payday of €330,000 (£281,000).

    Quarter-Final Matches and Prize Details

Four of the eight remaining fighters will compete this Saturday, with all quarterfinalists guaranteed at least €40,000 (£34,000) each.

Among them is UK fighter Akonne Wanliss, a rising star who won his last-16 bout with a knockout in just 48 seconds. Wanliss will face the top-ranked OKTAGON MMA lightweight and former promotional champion, Mateusz Legierski, for a spot in the semi-finals.

Another quarter-final at OKTAGON 58 in Prague will feature Acoidan Duque vs Mago Machaev.

    Upcoming Bouts in Bratislava

The remaining quarter-final bouts are scheduled for July 20 in Bratislava at OKTAGON 59, featuring two of the promotion's biggest stars, Losene Keita and Ronald Paradeiser.

Commitment to Fighter Rewards and Safety

OKTAGON MMA co-owner Pavol Neruda commented, “We want to reward our fighters with the pay that they deserve. The €1 million prize pot for the Gamechanger has given the 16 competing fighters the chance to earn money, as well as make history by winning the tournament. We want to create heroes with this tournament, but our fighters' health is the most important thing, and financial rewards are important.”

Main Event: Vegh vs Vemola 2

OKTAGON 58 will be headlined by Attila Vegh vs Karlos Vemola 2 in a bout dubbed ‘Revenge of the Century,’ a nod to their first encounter, ‘Fight of the Century,’ which Vegh won at OKTAGON 15.

    OKTAGON MMA’s Rising Profile

OKTAGON MMA has established itself on the European MMA scene with high-level production value and competitive, engaging matchmaking. This success has earned it a place among the top five promotions shortlisted for MMA Promotion of the Year.
