Karlos Vermola Returns: Czech MMA Superstar Comes Out of Retirement with Two-Fight Deal
Karlos Vermola signs two-fight deal with OKTAGON MMA, faces Pirat in November, Vegh trilogy set for 2025.
Karlos Vemola levelled the score in his heated rivalry with Attilah Vegh, submitting the Slovakian fighter in front of 28,000 fans in Prague this June. Many believed this bout would mark the end of Vemola’s illustrious career.
A New Deal: Vemola Signs Two-Fight Contract
Fast forward two months, and OKTAGON MMA, along with Vemola, have delivered an eagerly awaited update: Vemola has signed a new two-fight deal.
The first fight will see him face Samuel 'Pirat' Kristofic in Bratislava on November 9th, where Vemola will defend his light-heavyweight World Title. This bout also presents a chance for Vemola to avenge his shocking 2023 loss to Pirat, who knocked him out in just 108 seconds, stunning the Czech crowd.
The Trilogy: Vemola vs. Vegh III Set for 2025
The second fight under this deal will bring the final chapter of the Vemola-Vegh trilogy. With both fighters holding one stoppage victory each, the two MMA icons will settle the score in 2025, at a yet-to-be-disclosed venue.

Reflecting on the upcoming trilogy fight, OKTAGON MMA co-owner Pavol Neruda shared:
