Punjab Kings veteran Shikhar Dhawan has hit the highest fours in IPL history with his tally being 750 in 217 matches. The southpaw was a mainstay in the Indian team until a few years back and managed to hand numerous strong starts alongside current Indian captain Rohit Sharma.

Shikhar Dhawan - 750 fours in IPL

A part of the Indian Premier League since the inaugural Indian Premier League season, Shikhar Dhawan has gathered over 6500 runs in 217 matches. The left-hander had always taken a liking towards hitting boundaries and it was evident in the first season when he hit 35 fours. Dhawan’s best season came in IPL 2020 when he ended up hitting a whopping 67 boundaries in 17 games.

Yet another left-hander who opened for multiple IPL teams, David Warner also loves dealing in boundaries. By the time Warne had cemented his place in IPL, it was already 2010 but the aggressive batsman has since dominated proceedings in almost all seasons. His best season came in IPL 2016 when he led Sunrisers Hyderabad to the title and hit 88 boundaries in the process. He has 646 boundaries to his name and is the second batsman with the most boundaries in IPL.

Virat Kohli - 643 fours in IPL

The former India and Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper has been the highest scorer in the tournament and the only batsman to hit four centuries in one season. While quick singles and doubles are the most preferred mode of scoring runs for the fittest cricketer in India, Virat Kohli has also hit as many as 643 boundaries in the 237 matches that he has played so far.

Rohit Sharma - 229 fours in IPL

Five-time IPL winner with Mumbai Indians and once with the now-defunct Deccan Chargers, Rohit Sharma has been an IPL legend. He sits fifth on the list of batsmen with most boundaries in the tournament having hit 554 fours in 243 matches. While Sharma has been MI’s opener for almost a decade now, he was a middle-order batsman with DC and didn’t get as many balls to score more boundaries in the first few IPL seasons.

Suresh Raina - 506 fours in IPL

Popularly known as Mr IPL for his ability to score runs almost at will, during his time with the Chennai Super Kings, Suresh Raina was also a prolific boundary hitter which is proven by the fact that he sits fifth on the list despite having retired from IPL almost two years back. A floating batsman who could play his role with equal effect in any position from 3 to 6, Raina has hit 506 fours in 205 IPL games.
