Amorim’s side have lost once and drawn once while winning three times over their previous five games. After a poor start to the campaign, the Portuguese head coach will be glad to have picked up the positive results lately, especially the huge victory away at the champions last weekend.

Key Players to Watch

  • Senne Lammens: The Belgian shot-stopper has looked really impressive between the sticks for his new side. Lammens commands his box with authority and claims crosses really well.
  • Matheus Cunha: The Brazilian looks back to full fitness and it was a really good performance at Anfield last weekend. When he gets going, he is very difficult to defend against.
  • Bryan Mbuemo: The new signing from Brentford is finding his feet in Manchester and after recording the opening goal after 62 seconds against Liverpool, the winger will be in a confident mood ahead of the home game with Brighton.

Manchester United Team News

Amorim will be without Lisandro Martinez who has a knee injury and both Noussair Mazraoui and Ayden Heaven who both have knocks but could be passed fit ahead of the home tie with the Seagulls.

Brighton and Hove Albion Current Form – LDWDW

Fabian Hurzeler’s side have only lost once in their last five games and are a really difficult side to come up against. They claimed a big win against the Toon Army last weekend and will be high on confidence heading into the game at Old Trafford.

Key Players to Watch

  • Danny Welbeck: The veteran striker seems to be getting better with age. Welbeck bagged a brace last weekend to give his side victory over Newcastle United.
  • Carlos Baleba: The Cameroonian midfielder is a hard-working defensive machine in the middle of the park who is also technically gifted and a good ball carrier.
  • Yakuba Minteh: The Gambian winger is a nightmare for opposition defenders to deal with and he has registered three goals and assists combined for the Seagulls this season so far.

Brighton and Hove Albion Team News

Hurzeler will be without Adam Webster and Solly March who both have knee injuries, Jack Hinshelwood and Kaoru Mitoma both have ankle issues, Joel Veltman has a calf strain, while Diego Gomez (muscle) and Brajan Gruda (knock) will also miss the trip to Old Trafford.
