David Moyes is set to undergo a major clear out at Everton this summer.
Moyes, who previously spent over a decade at Goodison Park, returned to the club in January in a bid to ensure their Premier League survival.
Results have improved and although they are yet to get fully out of the woods, one eye has already turned to next season.
A number of ageing stars are out of contract at the end of the current campaign and SportsBoom sources understand many of them will leave the club.
Goalkeeper Asmir Begović (37), defenders Ashley Young (39), club captain Seamus Coleman (36) and Michael Keane (32), are all expected to exit Goodison, as per sources close to SportsBoom.
Injury-prone striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin and influential midfielders Idrissa Gueye and Abdoulaye Doucoure are also out of contract although their futures are unclear.
Former England defender Keane has a number of suitors tracking his situation at the club and they are ready to pounce if he becomes a free agent.
A number of foreign clubs are keeping tabs on the centre-back, whilst Wolves could offer him a lifeline to stay in the Premier League.
WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD?
Once Moyes has freed up space, and wages, in his squad then he can look towards new arrivals.
Brentford captain Christian Norgaard has been linked with a move to Merseyside. But Bees’ boss Thomas Frank has revealed talks have begun between the club, who has an option for a further year, and the Danish midfielder regarding a new contract.
There is a lot happening at Everton, with the exciting new stadium on the horizon as well as Leeds chief executive Angus Kinnear joining the club whilst director of football Kevin Thelwell will depart in the summer.
