Coin Trio Piggy Burst Copycat Rich Piggies

As a fan of Coin Trio Piggy Burst, I was thrilled to encounter the Rich Piggies Bonus Combo slot machines at a few of my favorite sweepstakes casinos. This game is a near perfect copycat of the popular land-based casino slot machine.

Meet Rich Piggies (Coin Trio Piggy Burst Slot Copycat)

I love when I encounter a game online that mimics my favorite real world casino games. Recently I was playing one of my favorite sweepstakes casinos when I was offered free spins on a game called Rich Piggies. It didn’t take long before I realized that this game was a copycat of a game I regularly play in land-based casinos, Coin Trio Piggy Burst.

If you like Coin Trio, then you are going to fall in love with this game. Rich Piggies has the exact same bonus features, including the same three types of “piggies” in the bonus round, triggered by “popping” the respective pigs.

Online Casinos with Rich Piggies (Coin Trio Piggy Burst)

If you love playing the Coin Trio Piggy Burst, you definitely need to check out the Rich Piggies slot machine that you can play over the internet. Here are three of my top online casinos with this game:

  • No Limit Coins Casino - Get $1 of free sweeps coins just for registering, plus 100% first purchase bonus offers
  • Funrize Casino - $1 of free sweeps coins for creating an account, plus 100% first deposit bonus offers
  • FunZ City Casino - Score $3.50 of free sweeps coins on signup, plus 67% first purchase bonus promotion

Differences Between Coin Trio & Rich Piggies Slots

I noticed only three differences between the Coin Trio Piggy Burst and Rich Piggies slot machines. The first one is cosmetic; some of the symbols in the base game are different.

The second difference is a huge one. If you play Coin Trio Piggy Burst in land-based casinos, you are most likely playing a game that is in the 85%-93% return to player range. That’s pretty pathetic. However, the Rich Piggies slot machine, developed by NetEnt and available at sweeps casinos, has an awesome theoretical return to player percentage of 96.21%. That is outstanding; it ensures that, over time, you will get a lot more time playing for your money, and your chances of hitting a jackpot are greatly increased.

The third difference is in the “Buy a Bonus” features. In the Coin Trio Piggy Burst game, you buy the bonus for a fixed price and you don’t know beforehand if you are getting a single, double or triple pop. You can also buy the bonus directly on Rich Piggies, but on the Rich Piggies version of the slot, you can choose which pigs you want to pop and can do either a single pop, double pop or triple pop. Your price varies, based on what you choose to pop.

Rich Piggies Slot Machine Base Game

I think these two games may be identical, other than some changes in images, but I haven’t really paid much attention to the base game of Coin Trio when playing it. Usually, I’ve just sat down at the machine and bought the bonus.

Bonus Trigger on Coin Trio or Rich Piggies

Assuming you are not buying the bonus directly, your route to the bonus will flow through the base game. Landing blue, red or green coin symbols on the reels give you the chance to unlock (or “pop”) the bonus features. Each color has its own type of perk, but popping any one or more of these will take you to a Hold & Spin type feature.

The Hold & Spin feature works just like most similar games. You start with three spins. Every time you land a coin on your grid, the meter resets to three spins again. The bonus ends once all of your free spins have been exhausted, or when you fill up all fifteen spots on the grid. In the case of filling all fifteen slots, you will win the grand jackpot.

Blue Coin Trigger on Coin Trio or Rich Piggies

If you unlock (or “pop”) the blue coin trigger, then your hold and spin feature will include possible blue coins, including one blue coin and five regular coins at the outset of the feature. The blue coin can spin, potentially many times, and each time it spins, the prize value will increase. You can even score jackpots on these blue coins.

After your award for that initial blue coin is awarded, the regular hold and spin feature will commence, but if you are fortunate you will land some additional blue coins during the bonus.

Red Coin Trigger on Coin Trio or Rich Piggies

If you unlock (or “pop”) the red coin trigger, then your hold and spin feature will include possible red coins, including one red coin and five regular coins at the outset of the feature. The red coin will collect all coin values currently on the screen when it lands. This first red coin will collect your other five initial values.

After your award for that initial red coin is awarded, the regular hold and spin feature will commence, but if you are fortunate you will land some additional red coins during the bonus.

Green Coin Trigger on Coin Trio or Rich Piggies

If you unlock (or “pop”) the green coin trigger, then your hold and spin feature will include possible green coins, including one green coin and five regular coins at the outset of the feature. The green coin will double the values of all coins present on the screen at the time the green coin lands. That initial green coin will start by doubling the other five coins that have been awarded to you at the outset of the bonus.

After your award for that initial green coin is awarded, the regular hold and spin feature will commence, but if you are fortunate you will land some additional green coins during the bonus.

Rich Piggies 2 Slot - Coin Trio Amped Up

multi-color-coins-rich-piggies-2-coin-trio-slot.jpg

There is also an amped up newer version of Rich Piggies called Rich Piggies 2. This slot machine is like a super amped up version of Coin Trio Piggy Burst.

The Rich Piggies 2 slot machine has multi-color coins. These coins activate two different colored coins’ features at the same time…or, if you’re incredibly lucky, one coin can activate all three!

Conclusion

As someone who really likes Coin Trio, especially buying the bonus, I’ve quickly become a big fan of Rich Piggies slots offered at sweepstakes casinos. NetEnt did a great job developing these games, and I love the higher payback percentage compared to the land-based Coin Trio slot games. You should check them out!
