Oliver Glasner has been nothing short of spectacular in his time with Palace. Among landing two trophies for the Eagles, Glasner has managed to elevate their game while getting the best out of his players. He often offers himself to be the target man in quick transitions, as his relentless attacking style of play down the wings allows him to take defenders on with pace and skill. His eye for goal and composure around the box make him a threat to any defender on the day, especially with his strength on the ball. 
  • Marc Guehi: Guehi has been a standout performer, and it comes as no surprise to see the big clubs wanting to sign the Palace captain. The England international has everything in his game to become one of the best defenders in the Premier League. His calm under pressure can play out from the back; he has great positioning that allows him to intercept passes, and he is a great leader. Cheick Doucoure (knee) suffered a setback in his rehab process and will be sidelined for the next couple of months. Chadi Riad (knee) is close to returning to training, the last major step in his recovery from an ACL injury. Eddie Nketiah suffered a hamstring injury during their victory against Liverpool in the EFL Cup and is likely to spend some time on the sidelines to recover.

Hurzeler guided St. Pauli to the Bundesliga before coming to England, where he gained recognition as a young manager who is able to relate and interact with his team on a level that gets the best out of his players. His expansive style of football has been welcomed by the Brighton faithful and has seen his team compete at a high level. 

The last five games have been a roller-coaster ride for the Seagulls. Joel Veltman has missed the last five games with a calf injury and is slowly working his way back to full fitness. Jack Hinshelwood is still recovering from an ankle injury he sustained in September and will still need a few more weeks before he makes a full return to action, while James Milner is dealing with a minor muscle injury, which could see him miss his fixture. 

Brajan Gruda has made great strides in his recovery from a knee injury, and Hurzeler is optimistic that the attacking midfielder could make a return in this fixture. Kaoru Mitoma has resumed team training and is edging closer to making back into the match-day squad.
