Approaches Made for Jaidon Anthony as Burnley Open Door to Summer Exit

Burnley could be forced to prepare for life without their most prized asset Jaidon Anthony particularly if they fail to beat the drop, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
The Clarets continue to languish in the drop zones with zero wins in their last five, and remain ten points from safety. Last weekend was no different, as they succumbed 3-1 to Fulham in a Premier League outing.
While Anthony is completely focused on trying to help the Lancashire-based club avoid relegation at the moment, close sources believe the club might be forced to cash in on him judging by the number of enquiries he has gotten for much of the season.
Jaidon Anthony, 26 has been a revelation in the top flight this season having scored seven times and laid on another for Burnley in what has been a largely forgettable campaign.
Manager Scott Parker has being vocal about how he wants the Englishman to stay on and play for the club despite the attention he continues to court, branding him a 'nines and perfect tens' player.
“As a coach, he is a seven out of 10 every week, and at times, he’s nines and 10s," Parker said.
“You have a baseline with him and you have seen that over the course of this season, really. Look, if there is one name of all the players I have coached over my career, Jaidon Anthony is right up there.”
SOLID RISE
Anthony joined Burnley on a permanent basis in May 2025 after he enjoyed a successful season-long loan deal last term in the Championship, delivering eight goals and seven assists as they made the jump into the top flight.
The move has culminated in a significant jump in valuation for the player who could cost admirers in the region of £25m come this year's summer.
Prior to that move, he proved his mettle with Bournemouth in the Championship with a 14 goal-contribution in the 21/22 campaign, an input which narrowly failed to secure the title but ensured promotion into the Premier League for the Cherries.
SUMMER INTERESTS BUILDING YET
Burnley effectively held off interests during the last winter window, as the likes of Everton, Leeds United and Fulham came circling but it is understood they will not stand in the player's way in the event he is approached with a thrilling project come the end of the season.
That said, much of what happens will depend on the player who clearly is leaning towards a bigger challenge at this stage of his career.
"Jaidon's having a great season, that's for sure and it's simple to see why these clubs would be interested in him", a close source told SportsBoom.com.
"Several Premier League sides have made an approach, and it could be a scenario where Burnley will have little option but to sell. But we'd see if they stay up."
Tottenham were interested in the player earlier on in the season, and have sent scouts to Burnley games to watch him but they are as well embroiled in the fight for survival so it remains to be seen if those visits could materialise to anything tangible.
Anthony is under contract at the Turf Moor until at least the summer of 2029.
