Exclusive: Liverpool Plot Move for Brentford Right-Back Michael Kayode
Liverpool are considering a move for Brentford's right-back Michael Kayode. The 21-year-old's performances have impressed Reds' boss Arne Slot, as Liverpool face an injury crisis in that position. Kayode, who has been a revelation at Brentford, is also being monitored by other Premier League clubs like Manchester United and Newcastle United.

Liverpool are plotting a move for Brentford right-back Michael Kayode, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
The 21-year-old has been a revelation during Keith Andrews’ first campaign in the dugout at the GTech Community Stadium.
His long throws, bustling runs down the flank and incredible work rate have caught the eye of Reds’ boss Arne Slot, our sources have been told.
Liverpool currently have an injury crisis at right-back which has led to Slot telling the Anfield recruitment team to look for more dynamic options at the right side of defence.
Jeremie Frimpong, a £30million signing in the summer, has only made six league starts this season as he has suffered with bouts of injury.
Youngster Conor Bradley has deputised in his absence at times this term, but has been ruled out for the season with a serious knee injury.
It remains to be seen whether he will be fit in time for the World Cup should Northern Ireland come through the play-offs.
Sources in Merseyside are worried about the significance of Bradley’s injury and whether or not he will be ready for Premier League football in August.
Kayode’s impact has also been widely recognised inside the dressing room, with former Brentford teammate Frank Onyeka, now on loan at Coventry City, hailing the right-back as “incredible” for his energy, attitude and all-action displays.
Rising Stock
Kayode has impressed in west London since joining the Bees on loan with an option to buy last January.
The Bees wasted little time in triggering the option to buy clause as the Italy U21 international joined the club for £17.5million from Serie A outfit Fiorentina.
Kayode is a key part of Andrews’ plans and is contracted at the GTech until 2030.
The former Juventus youngster is being watched closely by a number of Premier League suitors who have been left purring by his performances this term.
Both Manchester United and Newcastle United, who are both expected to spend after trimming the fat in their squads this summer, also thought to be keen on the defender.
