Exclusive: Liverpool Join Premier League Rivals in Race for Toulouse Star Charlie Cresswell
Liverpool are eyeing Toulouse defender Charlie Cresswell as a summer transfer target, with Chelsea, Tottenham, Brighton, and West Ham also interested. Toulouse are reluctant to let him go, but a bid of over €30 million from Liverpool could change their minds. Other clubs including Crystal Palace, Borussia Dortmund, and Wolfsburg are also keeping an eye on the English youth international.

Toulouse defender Charlie Cresswell has emerged as a summer transfer target for Liverpool, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
The reigning Premier League champions are ready to rival a host of other interested suitors for the signature of the highly-rated centre back.
A number of teams in the English top flight including Chelsea and Tottenham had shown credible interests in the player lately, while Brighton and West Ham United have both had bids in the region of €25 million knocked back by Toulouse.
While the French Ligue 1 side who continue to play hard ball have sounded out their resolve to keep Cresswell until at least the summer, it is also understood the player's preference would be put into consideration amidst the plethora of these sides looking to prize him away from the club he joined in the summer of 2024.
However, our sources understand that Reds will table a bid in the excess of €30 million pending meaningful discussions, a fee which is believed could be enough to try to persuade the club to part with the former Leeds United man.
Crystal Palace had also explored the possibility of bringing in the 23-year old, and will understandably ramp up discussions in their bid to replace the big vacuum the loss of Marc Guehi to Manchester City has left them.
IMPRESSING IN THE LIGUE 1
Having led a miserly defence in the French top flight (only Lyon, Lens and Paris Saint Germain have conceded fewer than Toulouse), it is easy to understand why the England youth international is in high demand.
German sides Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg are also both interested in the player, but it remains to be seen if they have the financial muscle to rival a Premier League top flight side in the event of a bidding war.
That said, Toulouse manager Carles Martínez Novell has often spoken of how integral the Englishman remain to his team and how they play, but could now be forced to plan for life without him if his valuation is met come the summer.
Cresswell who is contracted to Toulouse till the summer of 2028 has been an ever-present for Les Violets this season, going the distance in all of their top flight games so far.
