Inter Milan are ready to rival Juventus for Serge Gnabry’s signature, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
The 30-year-old’s contract at Bayern Munich is up at the end of the season and he is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs in January.
Our sources understand talks over a contract extension at the Bundesliga leaders are underway, but Munich bosses want to reduce his current wages.
Juventus are eager to sign the forward on a free transfer at the end of the season, but will face stiff competition.
And it is understood Inter Milan are also keeping tabs on the former Arsenal youngster's situation in Bavaria.
He is a player who impresses boss Cristian Chivu and he sees Gnabry as someone who would bolster his options at the San Siro.
The German international has bags of experience at the highest level and is also being touted with a sensational return to the Premier League with Liverpool.
Anfield bosses have been alerted to Gnabry’s potential availability on a free transfer and are reportedly pursuing the option of offering him a deal in Merseyside.
Bayern are also in contract talks with French centre-back Dayot Upamecano, who is attracting interest from Manchester United, Liverpool, and even Crystal Palace.
Brilliant Business
Gnabry moved to Arsenal for £100,000 and joined the club when he was 16.
But he failed to make his mark at the Emirates and left the club for his homeland in 2016.
A £5million move to Werder Bremen materialised, but Munich triggered his release clause after two seasons at the club.
Gnabry has enjoyed a stunning spell at Munich and has scored almost 100 times for the Bundesliga giants.
He stint at the club began in 2017 and he has six league medals on his CV as well as a Champions League trophy.
Gnabry won the Munich Player of the Season award in 2018/19 and was named in the Champions League squad of the season the following campaign.
