Everton are hoping to snap on Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Brandt in a bargain deal next summer, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
Experienced Germany international Brandt is out of contract in July next year, and our sources have learnt the Toffees have already made enquiries about acquiring his services. As transfer speculation builds ahead of next summer, it’s the perfect time to explore the latest online betting options for upcoming Premier League markets and potential player moves.
Brandt’s current deal has less than eight months to run, having signed a contract extension to his original five-year deal when he joined the club.
That extension in April 2023 took Brandt’s contract up until the 1st of July, with currently no new deal offered by the Bundesliga outfit.
And that’s one of the main reasons Everton are interested in striking a deal to bring the 48-cap international to the Premier League.
Reports in Germany say Brandt would consider staying with Dortmund for longer, but our sources understand that a move to the English top-flight is something the 29-year-old craves, especially at this productive stage of his career.
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINALIST
Brandt was a Champions League runner-up with Dortmund during the 2023-24 season and played alongside England ace Jude Bellingham before his high-profile move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
He won the German Cup with the club in only second season with the club, but he has yet to win the Bundesliga title with the club.
Brandy enjoyed six years with fellow Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen before his move to Signal Iduna Park in 2019.
He has played 274 games for Dortmund which, including this season, is his seventh year at the club.
Brandt has scored 48 goals for Dortmund and as well as approaching a half century of goals for the club, he is also just six games short of 200 league appearances for the club during a consistent career thus far.
He made his Germany debut back in 2016 but last played for the national side in 2024.
