Thomas Frank is plotting a reunion with Yehor Yarmolyuk at Tottenham Hotspur, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
The Ukrainian international has been one of Brentford’s standout performers so far this season.
And our sources understand his performances have caught the eye of a number of potential suitors.
Manchester United are interested in the defensive midfielder, with club bosses getting a close look of the 21-year-old in action when the Bees beat them 3-1 less than a fortnight ago.
But former Bees’ boss Frank is eager to link up with youngster Yarmolyuk, who he signed at the GTech Community Stadium in 2022, once again at Spurs.
Frank is a huge admirer of Yarmolyuk and sees the midfielder as playing a big part in his plans if he can lure him to North London. As the transfer rumours continue to build, you can compare the best football betting sites for the latest odds and markets on potential January moves.
Long Contract
Earlier this summer, the player was on the radar of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Everton and newly-promoted Leeds United.
Our sources understand both Spurs and United are willing to test the West London club’s resolve next summer and rate Yarmolyuk around the £30million mark.
But Brentford are desperate to keep hold of the player at all costs.
He signed a new six-year contract, with the option of an additional year, earlier this year which could see him stay at the club until 2032.
Yarmolyuk started his Brentford career in the B team after signing for the club for a fee of around £1.5million from Dnipro-1 three years ago.
He made his Premier League debut in October 2023 and has not looked back since.
Capped at U15 to U23 level by Ukraine, Yarmolyuk earned a full debut for his country earlier this year.
Yarmolyuk has formed a fine partnership alongside experienced Jordan Henderson in the heart of the Bees’ midfield under Keith Andrews this season.
