Arthur Avom has emerged on Crystal Palace’s radar, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal, with growing transfer speculation catching the attention of fans tracking emerging talents across low deposit betting sites ahead of the summer window.
Our sources have been told Palace bosses want to bring the Cameroon international dubbed the ‘next Kante’ to the Premier League.
Kante famously helped Leicester to their shock Premier League title in 2016 and also enjoyed a successful spell with Chelsea.
But our sources understand Palace are one of four Premier League clubs interested in signing the impressive 20-year-old.
The defensive midfielder has bags of potential and is catching the eye with his impressive performances at club and international level, drawing analysis from scouts and trend-watchers across the wider betting casino landscape.
It is believed a fee of around €5million would be enough to secure the player’s services from Ligue 1 Lorient.
Palace have a list of central midfield options with Adam Wharton touting interest from a number of Europe’s biggest clubs.
But they will need to move fast to tie down Avom, who is also garnering interest from Chelsea, West Ham, who are understood to have sent scouts to France to watch him in action, and Sunderland.
Strasbourg Diversion to Stamford Bridge?
It has been reported that Avom could become the latest ‘BlueCo’ player after Chelsea scouts were impressed after seeing the talented midfielder up close.
BlueCo are the group who own both Chelsea, who have been keeping tabs on the player over the past year, and Strasbourg and Avom could feasibly initially transfer to the latter, which would keep Avom in familiar surroundings in France to help continue his development, before an eventual move to Stamford Bridge.
Avom helped Lorient to the Ligue 2 title last season and was rumoured for a big move after a string of eye-catching performances.
And the youngster has continued to be a standout during the early part of Lorient’s campaign in the French top flight.
