Chicago Individual 2025 Preview: Odds, Tips, & Predictions

Date: August 8-10 Venue: Bollingbrook Golf Club, Chicago, USA Defending champion: Jon Rahm After a dramatic conclusion to the United Kingdom Individual, LIV continues at full throttle with the Chicago Individual this week. Marking the start of three successive end-of-season events to decide the individual and team champions, Bollingbrook Golf Club will be hurled into the spotlight, and it could go right down to the wire. Last year, Joaquin Niemann pushed Jon Rahm hard on the back nine before Rahm clinched a three-stroke victory.

As we move closer to the climax of the LIV campaign, the leading golf betting sportsbooks will post outrights and other player props to drum up interest for the tournament.

While not the longest course on the LIV Tour, Bollingbrook is an elite municipal track, and it is great for applying strategy as opposed to sheer gripping and ripping.

There are plenty of water hazards scattered around the course, and the heat could play a key role.

Among the signature holes are the island green par-3 and the 600-yard par five, and this course has earned rave reviews in the past.

As always, LIV events cover 54 holes, and a win could be critical for any player at this stage of the campaign. To whet your appetite, we have provided a full golf tournament preview and supplied some odds to support our predictions.

Golf stats for betting only present a part of the equation or a snapshot of player performances this season.

Instead, you need to look at the current form guide and assess their strengths and weaknesses to see how they could fare this well. Reading up on this will give you a greater chance of executing your golf betting strategies.

Bryson DeChambeau

Known as the ‘scientist’, Bryson DeChambeau takes a methodical approach to his game, even if he is labelled as a ripper from the tee. Yes, DeChambeau’s driving stats are impressive, but he has moulded his game, and he has been dialled in with his irons.

Last year, DeChambeau finished T6 at the Chicago Individual, and he was relatively consistent across his three rounds. The American clocked up a win back in May in Korea, and he has generally been in and around the top 10. While some golf bookmakers may have over-inflated his price this week, you wouldn’t want to discount him from contending.

Jon Rahm

There is an emphasis placed upon accurate iron play and scrambling, and last season, Jon Rahm topped both performance stats. While he’s searching for his first win of the campaign, the mercurial Spaniard hasn’t finished lower than T11, underlining his remarkable consistency.

A brilliant lag putter, Rahm is always a force to be reckoned with, and you wouldn’t put it past him to defend the title.

Joaquin Niemann

Often a picture of calm, Joaquin Niemann emerged victorious on his last outing at the United Kingdom Individual, clinching a three-stroke victory. It marked a fifth triumph this season, and the Chilean has carved out a decent lead at the top of the individual standings.

Okay, he would probably like to improve his putting average, but Niemann seems to hold all the cards at the moment. If he can learn the lessons of last year when he was nudged out by Rahm, perhaps he could creep over the line this time.

Suggested Bets

The best betting sites for golf will cater to the demands of bettors with a variety of player props and specials to ramp up excitement for LIV tournaments.

We’ve unlocked a few more odds from some of our preferred betting operators to give you food for thought.

  1. Jon Rahm to finish in the top 5: Jon Rahm has been a model of consistency, and week in week out, he brings his A-game to the table. Judging by his performance last year in Chicago, Rahm feels comfortable at Bollingbrook and equipped with his sublime putting stats, he could be in for a big week. A top-five finish is more than attainable (11/5 with 1xBet).

  2. Joaquin Niemann to lead after Round 2: Currently ranking top for birdies and second for Greens in Regulation this term, Joaquin Niemann’s short game looks rock solid. He has also been strong in the middle round of a tournament, and in his previous outing, he fired a scintillating eight-under-round score at the UK Individual. In terms of golf betting tips, Niemann to lead after Round 2 could be worth latching onto (15/2 with BetWinner).

  3. Winning Margin of 2 or more strokes: The winning margin line is commonly available at reputable golf betting sites, but we don’t necessarily think this event will go right down to the wire. Odds on the event to be decided by two strokes or more could be worth leaning into (4/5 with N1Bet).

Tournament Prediction

The Chicago Individual is never afraid to make a bold statement, and as the end of the season looms into view, there is plenty to play for. Joaquin Niemann, for example, may have chalked up the most wins this term, but a trip to the winner’s circle has invariably led to a top-20 finish in his next tournament, which is a worrying pattern.

Meanwhile, we have regularly backed Jon Rahm this term, but he’s been unable to get the job done, so we’re avoiding him. Instead, we like the look of Bryson DeChambeau, who has been scrambling well, and he has been finding plenty of fairways too, so he’s our pick to come out on top.
