This will be the 21st time that Ontario will be holding the tournament, while Mississauga will have the honour of hosting one of Canada’s premier golfing competitions.

Mississauga is one of the most picturesque courses around, denoted by smooth putting surfaces and wide fairways. Running alongside the Credit River, this track plays as a par 71, extending to 6,661 yards.

There are plenty of risk/reward holes out there, and the average winning score over the past few years was around -14.

But how will things unravel this week? We’ve lined up some telling golf tournament predictions to support our preview.

Pre-CPKC Women’s Open Betting Odds and Win Probability

The first part of any golf tournament preview is to assess the markets. The CPKC Women’s Open carries a prize purse of $2.75 million along with 500 CME Points, so there is plenty of incentive.

We’ve visited one of the best betting sites for golf to establish how the pre-tournament betting odds are shaping up, focusing on the favourites.

  1. Nelly Korda – 6/1 (7.00) – 14.3%

  2. Lydia Ko – 13/1 (14.00) – 7.1%

  3. Lauren Coughlin – 17/1 (18.00) – 5.6%

Having pulled up the key performance metrics, it’s time to delve a little deeper and ascertain the credentials of the likely protagonists at the CPKC Women’s Open.

Sifting through past performances at this event, as well as going over the form guide should sharpen your golf betting strategies and give you more confidence in making your picks.

Nelly Korda

While replicating the high of 2024 with six wins was always going to be a tall order, Nelly Korda has still strung together a flurry of top-10 finishes, which bodes well.

Despite sitting out the CPKC Women’s Open last year, Korda hasn’t missed a cut this season, and apart from putting well, she ranks first for SG: Off the tee which is worth noting.

The only major concern is that she has faded on the final day of tournaments recently, but if she can put together four immaculate rounds, then she could be there or thereabouts.

Lydia Ko

Although her form has wavered over the past few weeks, which included two missed cuts, Lydia Ko is a classy operator, and this course could be suited to her game.

A two-time champion would suggest as much, and she’s the only player in the tournament’s 21-year history to go back-to-back which is remarkable. Last year, Ko came in T8, so she should be feeling confident.

Her iron play might be down on the field, but given her credentials, you would never want to write her off.

Lauren Coughlin

Coming into this event as the reigning champion carries a burden of expectation, and after a series of missed cuts, Lauren Coughlin has steadied the ship with two top-15 finishes, which indicates she is turning things around.

12 months ago, Coughlin held things together in the clutch moments, and her driving has been superb. This will be key this week, in terms of making fairways, and while Coughlin’s form has wavered, she will be eager to rekindle one of her highlights on the LPGA Tour.

Suggested Bets

Golf betting sportsbooks will carry a diverse range of lines for this tournament, and we’ve zoned in on a few specials that might be worth investigating.

  1. Nelly Korda to lead after Round 2: Apart from being a strong frontrunner, Nelly Korda, at times, appears to be unflappable. She tops the table this term for Round 2 scoring average (68.25), and in terms of golf betting tips, the American to head the pack going into the weekend seems fair (7/4 with 1xBet).

  2. Lydia Ko to clinch a top 10 finish: Lydia Ko has been a tour de force at the CPKC Women’s Open in the past, and her results underline that she will be a threat. The New Zealander could have another productive week, and a top-10 finish is feasible (4/5 with Sportsbet.io).

  3. Lauren Coughlin Over 3.5 birdies in Round 1: Lauren Coughlin may not have been so scintillating with the putter recently, but this is a tournament she knows well, and she could get off to a hot start. Golf bookmakers offer birdie specials, and Over 3.5 birdies in the opening round could be worth tapping into (9/5 with Stake).

Tournament Prediction

The CPKC Women’s Open organisers have pulled out all the stops to make this one of Canada’s signature tournaments. This is bound to be a fiercely contested event, and while Lauren Coughlin will be eager to retain the title, her putting has been her shortcoming of late.

Nelly Korda, meanwhile, is still searching for her first win, and although her iron play has been strong, she could be muscled out by Lydia Ko. As a two-time champion, she knows what is required to get the job done, and she’s overdue for a victory. Ko is our pick to clinch the title.
