A 72-stroke hole format alternating between foursomes and fourballs, this course isn’t necessarily the most demanding, however, those who take a strategic and methodical approach will reap the rewards.

Contender News
After presenting a comprehensive set of stats, it’s time to delve a little deeper and assess the main runners and riders at the Dow Championship.
We have examined their strengths and recent performances, which ultimately could dictate your golf betting strategies.
Ruoning Yin & Jeeno Thitikul
Both are rising stars on the LPGA scene and last year, they collaborated magnificently at the Dow Championship, taking the title on their debut appearance.
A hot start in the final round was crucial in providing the building blocks for the victory, and Jeeno Thitikul held her nerve holding a clutch putt on the 18th to clinch the title.
Thitikul and Yin have been exceptional at times this season, and they just seem to click well. Thitikul’s recent win at the Mizuho Americas Open bodes well, and they could prove to be untouchable again this week.
Celine Boutier & Yuka Saso
Last year, Celine Boutier and Yuaka Saso were a bit off the pace, finishing seven shots off Thitikul and Yin.
There were moments of brilliance such as the 58 in round two, and they will want to give a good fist of things.
Saso’s driving stats are alarming as she is down on many of her rivals, but then again, she is ranked sixth for bogey average per round.
Boutier and Saso have a good blend of youth and experience, and perhaps with the spotlight not firmly fixed on them, they might bob along nicely.
Lexi Thompson & Brooke M. Henderson
While they missed the cut in 2023, that didn’t deter Lexi Thompson and Brooke M. Henderson, who were T8 at the Dow Championship last year.
Thompson usually attracts inviting golf betting odds regardless of the tournament she plays at due to her pedigree.
Henderson has steadied the ship after two missed cuts with two top-20 finishes. With a combined 24 LPGA career wins, Thompson and Henderson could be on course for a good week, and it will be fascinating to see how they fare.
Suggested Bets
To couch our golf betting tips, we have scooted off to the betting markets and handpicked a couple of value lines that could be worth tapping up.
Lexi Thompson & Brooke M. Henderson to finish in the top 10: A lot will have been learned from the travails where they failed to make the cut, and this duo could be in the mix. Rather than being over-ambitious, and going for a top-five finish, we are more inclined to go with Thompson & Henderson to clinch a top-10 berth which is worth following up on (13/10 with N1Bet).
Ruoning Yin & Jeeno Thitikul to lead the Dow Championship after Round 1: While there is always a burden of expectation going into an event as reigning champions, that will matter little to Ruonin Yin & Jeeno Thitikul. This dynamic duo could come firing out of the blocks, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if they were the Round 1 leaders given their exceptional talent tee to green (4/1 with BetWinner).
Dow Championship winning margin to be 2 strokes or fewer: Apart from the 2022 edition where the margin of victory was five strokes, we think it will be a close-run affair like the other events. Backing the winning margin of the champions to be by two strokes or fewer could be an appetising prospect (7/4 with 1Win).
Tournament Prediction
Golf tournament predictions can often be laden with uncertainty, and when you throw a team element into proceedings, this can wreak further havoc. Lexi Thompson and Brooke M. Henderson have made significant strides as a pairing, and their win record on the LPGA Tour makes for excellent reading, but they could be left lagging.
The same could be said of Celine Boutier and Yuka Saso, and there is a residual concern about Saso’s driving that could be exposed at the Dow Championship.
Ruoning Yin and Jeeno Thitikul won’t want to relinquish their title without a fight, but at this moment, it’s hard to see who will stop them. Every facet of their games is hugely impressive, and they are our pick to land the crown.
