Colombia Edgewater has a storied history, and it will be staging this event for the 37th time. This course, which plays as a par 72, is littered with tricky holes. However, the 12th, a par-5, is the risk/reward hole. A well-positioned drive can open up the possibility of reaching the elevated green in two.

Her credentials at this event are supported by the fact that she decimated the field in 2021 to clinch a four-stroke victory, and she will be eager to rekindle those feelings.

More importantly, she needs to put the slow starts behind her, such as the 74 at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship if she’s going to stand any chance of making a trip to the winner’s circle this weekend.

Moriya Jutanugarn

Arguably a surprise winner last year, Moriya Jutanugarn exhibited her battling qualities as she rallied from a three-stroke deficit going into the final round.

The way she held herself together in the clutch moments was impressive. However, the defending champion has been in woeful form of late. Four missed cuts in succession would suggest that she needs to iron out some flaws in her game.

If she can get things back on track and put the hard work in at the practice range, then you wouldn’t want to discount Jutanugarn.
