Minjee Lee
Minjee Lee has already cracked the code in the biggest events, and her recent win at the Women’s PGA Championship sealed her third Major title. Although there were a few nervy moments, she displayed great poise, and there is still plenty left in the tank this season.
The Australian has been red hot with her putter this term, ranking eighth for putting average, and her approach play has been pretty solid, meaning she could give herself plenty of sighters for birdies. While a 76 at this event in the final round saw her tumble down the leaderboard last year, she’s certainly one to watch this week.
Ayaka Furue
As defending champion, there is always a burden of expectation, and she’s been bobbing along nicely. Park to one side the three missed cuts in her past five events, she will have fond memories of the Evian Championship.
Her driving stats have been impressive, and that will stand her in good stead this week. It will be fascinating to see how she gets on, and perhaps she could be in the mix come the weekend.

As the only Major tournament in the women’s game staged in Europe, there is always plenty of buzz for the Evian Championship. This year will be no different. Meanwhile, Lydia Ko’s approach play has been a little suspect compared to her rivals, and this is the sort of course that can chew and spit you back up if you aren’t careful. Although she only recently added to her Major haul, all facets of her game seem to be flowing nicely, so she’s our tip to win this week.
