Player Form Coming into the Tournament

Jannik Sinner comes into this tournament as the current ATP number 1 ranked player in the world. Recently winning his first Wimbledon title, the Italian will no doubt be looking to end the year on a high at Flushing Meadows.

Aryna Sabalenka, runner-up at the Australian Open and Roland Garros earlier this year, will be hoping to go one step further when she contests the final Grand Slam of the calendar year.

From the men’s perspective, Sinner and Alcaraz are expected to once again contest the title, but there are certainly players in the wings capable of going on a run of form and upsetting the proverbial apple cart. Iga Swiatek enters this tournament with six major titles to her resume. She comes off the back of securing a Wimbledon title, leave her out at your peril.

Home support is always felt in the United States, with the likes of Frances Tiafoe and Madison Keys leading the home charge. Interestingly, the United States has an incredible 30 players (16 women and 14 men) gaining automatic entry into the competition this year!

Previous US Open Winners

  1. 2024 (Jannik Sinner + Aryna Sabalenka)

  2. 2023 (Novak Djokovic + Coco Gauff)

  3. 2022 (Carlos Alcaraz + Iga Swiatek)

  4. 2021 (Daniil Medvedev + Emma Raducanu)

  5. 2020 (Dominic Thiem + Naomi Osaka)

Suggested Bets

Jannik Sinner is the defending champion and, given how good he has been all season, we can’t see past the world number 1 retaining his title this year. A winner at both the Australian Open and Wimbledon, Sinner was runner-up in Paris and is without question the most dangerous player on the circuit at the moment.

Back the Italian to reign victorious in the United States at even money with Betway.

The WTA draw is an open one, with many putting their hands up for Grand Slam glory. Aryna Sabalenka is the current favourite, but Iga Swiatek looks to be the right play. She is playing with confidence and enjoys the hard surface more than most. She is currently trading at around 3/1 with Betway.

Value Bets

As far as value betting goes for the upcoming tournament, Coco Gauff comes into this tournament off the back of incredibly positive performances and looks set to once again compete at the highest level. She is currently trading at around 9/2 and so offers serious value.
If you’re looking to maximize potential returns on players like Gauff, it’s worth checking out betting sites with welcome bonusus to get extra value on your first wagers.

In the men’s section, Alexander Zverev has always seemed to look there or there abouts when coming into Grand Slams and this year looks to be no different. He is currently available at 12/1 to secure his first and ignoring his chances should be done at your peril.
