PFL World Tournament Finals: Edwards vs Rosta Odds, Tips and Predictions
Date: Thursday, 21 August 2025 Time: 11:00 PM BST Venue: Hard Rock Live, Hollywood, Florida Broadcaster: Available on ESPN, ESPN+, and DAZN The 2025 PFL Middleweight World Tournament Final lines up Fabian “The Assassin” Edwards against Dalton “Hercules” Rosta. Edwards is the veteran technician with a knack for derailing hype trains, while Rosta looks like he was sculpted in a lab and sent into the cage to prove aesthetics can win fights. With $500k and bragging rights on the table, this one is muscle against timing, experience against ambition, and a very real clash of styles. This shapes up as one of those coin-flip contests often reflected on MMA betting sites.

Veteran Craft vs Gym Poster Power
Edwards fights like a man who has solved the puzzle before you have even thrown a jab. Patient, tricky, and lethal in the clinch, his style makes explosive opponents look ordinary. He has been through wars with Johnny Eblen, Mousasi, and Kasanganay, and has come out sharp enough to reach a PFL final.
Rosta is undefeated in 2025. The action figure’s build and solid wrestling base allow for him to dictate terms. He prefers ramming his opponents back-first, headfirst, whatever double legs he can get into the cage to fire off combinations. The judges admire his control. But critics say his schedule has not been elite, but surely you can only beat what is in front of you? And so far, that is everyone.
One man is defined by patience and composure. The other by raw horsepower and relentlessness. It is a stylistic clash that could look like high-level chess, or like Edwards being folded into an advert for creatine.
Pre-Fight Odds and Win Probability: Edwards Firm Favourite
Fabian Edwards: 4/11 (1.36) – 73.3%
Dalton Rosta: 9/4 (3.25) – 30.8%

From a sports betting perspective, it lines up as the classic technician versus the tank, which means there’s a favourite you can trust and an underdog who could ruin tickets if he lands big.

Fabian Edwards News
Fabian Edwards has built his foundation of a reputation, albeit through his relation to former UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards, on proving that power is but a fraction of what is needed to fight your way to the MMA top. He is a measured striker who wants space, time, and patience. Luxury that his footwork often affords him in most of his battles. When opponents rush in with strength, he makes them look reckless. Like against Josh Silveira, he kept it tidy, picked his spots, and walked away with every judge tipping their hats to him on the scorecards. Against Impa Kasanganay, it was a different story altogether, a fight that looked simple on paper but highlighted how calm he stays under pressure, and when Impa thought he had an opening, he was met with a flying knee, followed by a barrage of knockout punches. Frustrating guys until their gas tank empties or their game plan crumbles works 9/10 for this guy. Against Rosta, he will be looking to prove that composure beats brute force every time, again!
Dalton Rosta News
Dalton Rosta is never going to outpoint anyone with slick footwork when he is infamously seeking that double leg. It is just not his style, which is not so much of a viewing spectacle, but he’s here fighting for half a million dollars, so do you think he cares? He is built like a tank, and his whole game is about making you feel it. He wants to get up close and personal, lock up in the over/under hook, and eventually drag you down where his strength does every single bit of the talking. We have seen him do it in Bellator against Norbert Novenyi Jr., who had no answers. Sadibou Sy looked completely shut down in Rosta’s PFL debut, and even Aaron Jeffery, who survived, walked away looking like he had just been bullied from thy kingdom come. Rosta does not care if it is pretty, even though we all do. He is there to suffocate you, keep you stuck, and turn fights into an absolute grind for the entirety of the fight, leaving his opponent begging for a moment on the stool. That kind of pressure is not easy to prepare for.
Suggested Bets
Antonio Carlos Jr to Win vs Sullivan Cauley (Co-Main): The Brazilian has the experience edge, sharper ground game, and a history of big-fight composure. 4/5 (1.80) – 55.6% with Stake
Bryce Meredith to Win by Decision vs Lazaro Dayron: Meredith’s wrestling-heavy approach screams control and points rather than fireworks. 5/6 (1.83) – 54.5% with 1xBet
Oleg Popov to Win Inside the Distance vs Alexandr Romanov: Both are heavyweights with finishing tendencies, but Popov has the cleaner knockout résumé. 6/5 (2.20) – 45.5% with Betandyou
Value Bets
Josh Silveira vs Murad Ramazanov – Fight Ends in Submission: Both have slick grappling pedigrees, making a tap-out more likely than the line suggests. 4/1 (5.00) – 20% with Pinnacle
Impa Kasanganay to Win by KO/TKO vs Andrew Sanchez: Kasanganay’s explosiveness is a nightmare for Sanchez’s fading durability. 3/1 (4.00) – 25% with 1Win
J.P. Saint Louis vs Tyler Ray – Fight Goes the Distance: Saint Louis is flashy, Ray is gritty, and their styles could stall out into three grinding rounds. 7/2 (4.50) – 22.2% with BetWinner
Prediction: Edwards by Decision
This final comes down to experience versus aesthetics. Fabian Edwards has already survived tougher names and knows how to drag fights into his pace. Dalton Rosta looks the part and hits like a truck, but his record is padded with fighters who fold under pressure.
If Rosta bull-rushes and lands early, he has a shot at a highlight finish. More likely, Edwards stays composed, controls the range, and forces the younger man into mistakes. Expect Edwards to frustrate Hercules over three rounds and take a clear decision.
For those watching the markets closely might even spot a sign up bonus worth taking into the final round.
