If you play slots often, you will have come across Pragmatic Play along the line. They’ve got a mix of older, simpler games like this one, and with much heavier, feature-rich titles.

The developer operates under multiple international licenses, and independent testing labs such as Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) and Quinel Ltd audit all its games. They release all their gaming products through a single API integration, making it faster and easier for operators to launch and update content.

The game is set on a farm, and pretty much everything revolves around pig symbols on the reels. Some of them are quite normal, but others are more over-the-top, like the vampire pig and one dressed as a princess. It gives the whole game a slightly goofy feel rather than anything too serious. 

I actually liked that it keeps things simple visually. You’ve got windmills and barns in the background, with bright colours, but nothing feels cluttered.

The game is played on a 5x3 grid with 7 fixed paylines that pay from left to right, so it’s pretty easy to follow. The stacked pig symbols are hard to miss; when they land, they can cover a good chunk of a reel. I sometimes had two reels line up with them, and those ended up being the better base-game wins. With only 7 paylines, it’s also simple to follow what’s actually paying, which I prefer over busier layouts.

The 7 Piggies RTP is 95.99%, which is just under the 96% mark I usually look for. It’s not a big difference, so it isn’t a huge issue, but it is something I always check and make note of. 

Volatility is listed as medium-high, and that matched what I got when playing. I got a few small wins in the beginning, but then went through a quieter spell for a while again. The bigger payouts are more in the bonus rounds rather than the base game.

In the demo, I could set the stake as low as $0.07 and push it up to around $70 per spin. I mostly stuck to smaller bets to get a feel for how it played over time. Changing the stake is easy and only took a couple of taps using the controls under the screen, nothing fiddly.

The maximum win of 7 Piggies is not listed in the game rules and information. Realistically, when worked out from the paytable and using the 5x multiplier in the bonus round, it would be around 1,000x your stake.

The main bonus feature comes from the barn scatter symbols. Landing three of them triggers the free spins bonus. 

At the beginning of the bonus round, the barns shown on the screen reveal either more free spins or multipliers. You don’t know what you are getting until they open, adding a bit of anticipation to each one.

The five different pig characters are the main paying symbols. They can stack across the reels, and that’s where most of the better hits came from in my session. The blue pig sits at the bottom end of the paytable, while the construction worker pig is the top-paying regular symbol, with the others falling in between.

Most of the base game revolves around those stacked pig symbols. When they land, they can cover a decent chunk of the reel, which gives you a better shot at landing multiple matches across the paylines. 
While I was playing, they showed up fairly often. Not every time led to a big win, but there were a few spins where they helped create many wins at once.
