Deliberating on his last-dart heroics, van Gerwen modestly attributed his success to a combination of factors, commenting, "I don't want to make too many changes to my game because I know I got the ability. It's the pressure, it's the travel, it's the home lifestyle. Everything together has to be right, and I'm working on that."

Focused on the Journey Ahead

Despite his victory, van Gerwen remains focused on the long journey ahead, highlighting the marathon nature of the Premier League. "It's such a long run and it's not a sprint, it's a marathon for everyone. You need to make sure you do everything at your own pace and that's what I'm doing," he commented.
