The Gunners host the Magpies in a crucial fixture at the tail end of the season. With both teams pushing for a Champions League place, the visitors have the opportunity to overtake the home side and go second in the Premier League. After Eddie Howe’s side claimed a 1-0 victory in the reverse fixture, Mikel Arteta’s side will want revenge on Sunday.

Arsenal Current Form – DWDLD

Arteta’s side has struggled towards the end of the season, and their previous five fixtures is testament to that. The Gunners have won just once, while drawing three times and losing the other game in that period.

Key Players to watch

  • William Saliba: The French centre-back is a stalwart defender in the Arsenal backline. Saliba is calm and has the ability to read the game at an elite level, making him one of the best defenders in the league.
  • Bukayo Saka: Saka is the Gunners’ main man. Everything flows through him down the right wing and the Englishman is a nightmare to deal with for opposition defenders.
  • Gabriel Martinelli: The Brazilian has hit form at the business end of the season and can be a handful to deal with when he gets on his bike down the left wing.

Arsenal Team News

Kai Havertz and Gabriel have hamstring strains, while Takehiro Tomiyasu and Gabriel Jesus have both suffered knee injuries. Jorginho has a chest problem, and Declan Rice has a minor muscle issue. Additionally, Leandro Trossard limped off against Liverpool, while Mikel Merino is suspended for the clash.

Newcastle United Current Form – WLWDW

The team from Tyneside have lost just once in their previous five fixtures, with three wins and a draw. It is form that has seen Howe’s side put themselves firmly in contention for a Champions League spot and has them eyeing second place as well.

Key Players to Watch

  • Anthony Gordon: The Englishman has been excellent down the wing for Howe’s side. Gordon can play on the right and the left and has 11 goal contributions in 32 Premier League games.
  • Alexander Isak: The Swede has been very impressive for the Magpies. Isak has 23 goals and six assists and has been one of the best performers in the Premier League this season.
  • Harvey Barnes: The 27-year-old has been a key contributor for Newcastle this season and has managed to play 31 times for the Toon Army, which is valuable minutes and has allowed him to show us what he is really capable of – 13 goal contributions in that time is an excellent return for Barnes.

Newcastle United Team News

Joelinton and Joe Willock both have knee issues, while Lewis Hall has a foot problem. Meanwhile, right-back Kieran Trippier has a calf strain and is a doubt for the trip to London to face the Gunners.

Predicted Line-Ups

  1. Arsenal (4-3-3): Raya, Timber, Saliba, Kiwior, Lewis-Skelly, Partey, Rice, Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli, Nwaneri

  2. Newcastle United: 4-3-3: Dubravka, Botman, Schar, Burn, Livramento, Tonali, Guimaraes, Barnes, Murphy, Isak, Gordon

Suggested Bets

If you are on the hunt for some reliable bookmakers to place your Premier League bets with, look no further!

  1. Both Teams to Score: These sides have found the net with regularity this season, and considering the importance of the tie, they are both likely to register goals. (13/20 with Betway)

  2. Over 2.5 Goals: With the attacking talent on display, there are bound to be over 2.5 goals at the Emirates. (18/25 with Stake)

Value Bets

Check out these value bets with some of the best Premier League betting insights in the game.

  1. Correct Score (2-2): There should be goals in this one, and it is very likely they’ll cancel each other out in a goal fest in London. (13/1 with Betway)

  2. Draw: Back the draw here as a tight game is expected, and neither team will want to lose with Champions League football on the line. (11/4 with Stake)

Prediction: Draw

As second-placed host third in the Premier League, there is very little to separate these two sides. As was the case in the reverse fixture, when a solo goal was enough, expect another tight affair and both these sides to cancel each other out on Sunday. Those looking to back their predictions can take advantage of a welcome bonus for added value.
