The home side is currently unbeaten in the league after their first five appearances. The visitors themselves are unbeaten, but have a 100% record in that time as Arne Slot’s side aim to defend their Premier League title.

Key Players To Watch

  • Ismaila Sarr
The Senegalese has become one of the key performers in the Palace attack. Sarr has two goals in his three appearances for Palace this season.
  • Jean-Philippe Mateta
Mateta is a hard-running striker that links play well for Palace. The Frenchman has two goals this campaign and is always a goal threat with his intelligent movement and ball striking.
  • Marc Guehi
After almost leaving Palace on the final day of the window to go to the visitors, Guehi will have a point to prove. The defender is elite and can play out the back excellently.

Liverpool Team News

Chadi Riad, Cheick Doucoure, and Yeremy Pino all have knee injuries, and Caleb Kporha has a back issue. Ismaila Sarr and Walter Benitez will be assessed ahead of the game and should be available for the visit from the champions.

Liverpool Current Form – WWWWW

The Slot train looks full steam ahead as Liverpool has started the league on fire. There were a few wobbles, but they somehow always find a way, like champions do. The Reds are the only side in the division with a 100% record after five games.

Key Players To Watch

  • Mohamed Salah
The Egyptian King is Liverpool’s talisman and is a nightmare to defend against with his clever movement and ability to create separation from the opposing full-back.
  • Virgil van Dijk
The Dutchman seems to be getting better every season. Van Dijk is a commanding presence who is one of the best ball-playing centre-backs in the world.
  • Ryan Gravenberch
Gravenberch is adding goals to his game now. He is one of the silkiest midfielders in the league and is a key cog in Slot’s side.

Crystal Palace Team News

The Reds will only be without Stefan Bajcetic for the trip to Selhurst Park. New arrivals Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak should be on course to start after being left on the bench in the Merseyside derby last time out.
