The former champions welcome the Cherries to Manchester in what is set to be an enthralling clash in the Premier League. The home side has steadied the ship after a slow start to the campaign, while the visitors have been putting in impressive performances under head coach Andoni Iraola. The reverse fixture saw Iraola’s side claim a 2-1 victory over Pep Guardiola’s side and another entertaining game is on the cards in midweek.

Manchester City Current Form - WWWWD

Guardiola’s side have put the slow start to the season to bed and are the most in-form side over the previous five games in the division. City have won four and drawn once, a shocking stalemate last time out against bottom-placed Southampton put a blip on that impressive record.

Key Players to watch

  • Erling Haaland: The Norwegian is one of the best strikers in the world, and the 24-year-old has scored over 20 goals in the Premier League for a third consecutive season.
  • Phil Foden: The Englishman is a technically gifted player and a joy to watch. Foden has nine goal contributions for City in his 27 league appearances this campaign.
  • Omar Marmoush: The Egyptian has hit the ground running since his arrival in January. The 26-year-old is a bag of tricks and he has already registered six times in 14 Premier League appearances.

Manchester City Team News

Rodri has been the long-term absentee and a major miss for Guardiola’s team. John Stones has a thigh problem, while Nathan Ake is out with a foot injury, adding to their defensive woes.

Bournemouth Current Form – WDDWL

After starting the season like a house on fire, Iraola’s side has recently faced a dip in form. They have won twice, drawn twice, and lost once, and dropped points at a crucial part of the campaign.

  • Dean Huijsen: The Spanish centre-back is one of the most sought-after defenders in the world after putting in impressive performances for both club and country this season.
  • Antoine Semenyo: The Ghanaian has been excellent for the Cherries. The tricky winger has 14 goal contributions in 35 matches in the league.

Bournemouth Team News
