Manchester United are ready to go toe-to-toe with Premier League champions Arsenal in a blockbuster £80million fight for Bournemouth teenage sensation Eli Junior Kroupi, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.

The Red Devils have joined the growing queue of admirers chasing the France Under-21 striker after his stunning breakthrough season on the south coast, with Old Trafford chiefs convinced he could develop into one of Europe's deadliest forwards.

United are desperate to inject more firepower into their attack and have identified Kroupi as one of the most exciting young talents on the market.

But landing the 19-year-old will be anything but straightforward.

Arsenal are also plotting a move for the Bournemouth starlet after watching him light up the Premier League last season, setting up a potential transfer tug-of-war between two of English football's biggest clubs.

Kroupi's rise has been nothing short of spectacular.

The former Lorient wonderkid arrived in England carrying a huge reputation after smashing 22 goals to help his hometown club win promotion back to Ligue 1.

Bournemouth moved quickly to secure his signature, and they are already reaping the rewards.

EXCITING FUTURE

In his first full season in the Premier League, Kroupi blasted 13 goals in 33 appearances as Andoni Iraola's side stormed into Europe and cemented their status as one of the division's most exciting teams.

His blistering pace, fearless running and ice-cold finishing have turned heads across the continent, with scouts from Europe's elite regularly spotted keeping tabs on his progress.

Now United want him.

Old Trafford insiders believe Kroupi possesses all the qualities needed to become a future superstar and could spearhead the club's attack for years to come.

However, Bournemouth are in no mood to cash in.

The Cherries hold all the cards thanks to the long-term contract Kroupi signed after arriving at the club.

The deal runs until June 2030, meaning Bournemouth can effectively name their price and tell interested clubs exactly where to go. That has created the biggest obstacle facing United and Arsenal.

Bournemouth are believed to value their prized asset at around £80million and have no intention of entertaining cut-price offers.

In fact, sources suggest the asking price could rocket even higher if a bidding war erupts between the Premier League giants.

Kroupi, meanwhile, has remained remarkably calm amid the growing frenzy.

Speaking recently about the mounting hype surrounding his future, he shrugged off the pressure and insisted: "I don't have pressure."

That cool-headed attitude has only increased his appeal and, for now, Bournemouth are adamant their wonderkid is staying put.

But with United and Arsenal circling, an £80million price tag hanging around his neck and Europe's biggest clubs watching every move, Kroupi is rapidly becoming one of the hottest properties in world football.

And if United decide to turn their interest into a formal bid, it could spark one of the summer's fiercest transfer battles.

We expect this one to develop into a summer-long bidding war, with Bournemouth in no rush to sell and the betting markets already leaning towards a stay-put scenario unless United or Arsenal meet that £80m+ valuation.
